I would have agreed with you a few days ago, but that was horrendous tonight. Yes the players are spineless twats, but a shape/style of play which cant even muster a shot on target against the team with the worst away record in the league, thats all on NJ. Totally unacceptable, as is the selection of Lyanco. I'd take Bednarek back in a heartbeat if it meant not seeing that brazilian prick again....and thats saying something

90 out of 92 remember. 0.8 points per game or something desperate like that
-
Lucky for the WC or Jones could've been challenging our Les' record as shortest PL reign. Not that SR will do anything
-
Ralph was done, he was a broken man. Hes probably thankful we put him out of his misery
-
Is the nasty fucker going to play himself, we'd need him to
-
Go with 4 at the back and get Armstrong/Edozie on for Mara/Lyanco. Its not hard
-
They're both on the bench...

Good that we've finally got some concrete links. Both Orsic and Moffi (if we get them over the line) look like they will improve us in key areas. Not convinced with the Alcaraz link - not only are there better clubs interested, but the thought of throwing a 20 year old kid, who has barely stepped out of Argentina, into a relegation dogfight, doesnt fill me with much confidence. Its got Gaston Ramirez* vibes to it but worse. At least Gaston had a spell in europe before signing for us. *now playing in Serie C Group B randomly
-
Just fill the team with Croats and Serbs. Hardened, efficient, no nonsense. That'll toughen us up. On that theme, Uros Racic (Braga) for DM please
-
We were dire against them, but to be fair Brighton are playing some great stuff - particularly with household names like Mitoma, Ferguson, March, Sarimento and Estupinan
-
What height do you need to be to ride this rollercoaster? Hes the same height as Aaron Cresswell and bigger than the likes of Rico Lewis and Tariq Lamptey. Teams may try and target that, but if they're good enough a player it wont really matter. As an ever present in City's youth sides the last few seasons and with caps for Spain under 19, hes on a decent trajectory

2023 january window equivalent of Gakpo, Ramos, Promes etc etc. Will go down to 31 January before he chooses Benfica or the like
-
Fraser is likely one given the previous links. God knows who the other one would be as Newcastle have a thin squad. Could be Shelvey. I cant see it being Wood as they've only him, Wilson and Isak as out and out strikers, and with the injury record of the other two they need him (did score last week). Fraser and Shelvey would be underwhelming to say the least. Those clamouring for more experience in our team will be delighted though 🙄

Well they did sign Diego Costa....and hes already been sent off 😂
-
I would say he does have a say, like any manager does. At the end of the day he's the one having to work with them on a daily basis. He's just giving the bland media responses that almost all managers wheel out this time of the year
-
When asked on the number of signings we could make, he said it could be one, two, three or ten. Bit of a contradiction to saying it wont be 'super busy' whatever that means. Again we're not going to come out and say its going to be a super busy window as it screams desperation. It also would mean clubs ramping up prices. It also wouldnt go down well with the current squad that there will be mass changes, especially when we need to rely on them for upcoming games.

Would be a loan. Could also build in an obligation to buy if we stay up. Ings could also get certain bonuses if his goals help us stay up. If we relegated, he goes back to Villa. No risk for Ings.
-
If we're bringing in Moffi as Adams' replacement plus a poacher type striker like Ings or Vitinha, then I've no issue in letting Adams go. I like Che, on his day* he can be excellent but most of the time he is incredibly wasteful * about 1 in 10 games
-
We tried to sign Joe Worrall didnt we? We're crap at defending set pieces aren't we? Yip, can see it already. Late set piece goal, 0-1 Forest
-
Yep hes doing fantastic after being backed to the hilt with 30 signings and about 170 million spent. The other promoted clubs have barely spent and are looking down on Forest (and us)
-
Hes having to play deeper due to Lavia's injury and Romeu being moved on (and not being adequately replaced) which doesnt suit him. If he was able to play more advanced he could affect the game more (Spurs away last season was a great example). While he hasnt been good this season compared to previous ones, he's still our second top scorer. His goals last season also went a long way to ensuring our safety. We need better squad depth as he deserves to be dropped at times but we've nobody to replace him with. As much as you dislike him, hes not the problem
-
Or hand him a coaching role
-
Bednarek and Ings coming on for Villa
-
We would need to ship McCarthy and/or Willy out to free up space for this. Cant see their being many takers given their wage demands and lack of gametime. We could always cancel Willy's contract though
-
Yep think most people recognise that the recruitment under SR has been largely posutive to date. ABK, Lavia and Edozie have all been good signings. Jurys out on Bazunu but hes young , DCC needs a chance and I think he'll be a good signing and Larios/Mara are both for the future (although have been thrust into action as we left outselves short following the summer window). Some of the recruitment from previous windows has also been good - KWP, Ings, Livramento, Perraud, Broja etc. Main problem is the two strikers have since left and never been replaced and some of our signings for key positions have failed to deliver - Diallo, Djenepo, Lyanco, Bazunu (so far) and Walcott to name a few. I think we're two successful windows away from being back to competing for mid-table, although that's obviously dependent on us staying up. Every team makes dud signings, but we need to avoid these being in key positions. You just have to look at the likes of Brighton and Fulham who were relegation threatened a few seasons ago and have recruited really well since (both players and management)
