  1. Fabrizio Romano
  2. Not sure Spors has anything to do with the sales. Did Dragan not say Ankersen was leading on sales? He deserves a promotion if so....
  3. Derby County actually. And hes already injured
  4. Yeah because Stoke and Boro will be the leaders come the end of the season
  5. Great piece of business by the club. Extracted another 5-7m from Everton and a big sell on clause - for a player who didnt want to sign a new contract. A super player yes, but not convinced he would have had a big impact for us in the Championship - especially if his desired PL move didnt happen Most importantly its about reinvesting it wisely to improve us in the final third
  6. We may not have had all the incomings we wanted so far, but at least the club are moving on (or trying to move on) the players many of us felt were not good enough
  7. We're light years away from Leeds.....😂 Very good chance we'll be passing each other again come May
  8. Tbf any promoted side who is organised defensively and works hard, will easily reach our total by Christmas
  9. Personally dont think its a penalty, but it is a perfect opportunity to let the ref have a look at it on the monitor. It happens so quickly theres no way him or the lino could be 100% sure its a handball
  10. Who is the geezer pretending to be Fabrizio Romano?
  11. Preferably the one on the shorter contract dont you mean?
  12. Feel for those people paying for a sky subscription. Its desperately bad. Soccer Saturday is pathetic with the level of 'expert' opinion on offer
  13. You just know that all this delay/posturing will result in somebody more appealing swooping in at the 11th hour to sign him. Brighton are letting O'Riley go it seems so may be on the lookout for a creative midfielder. Or Leeds who appear to target the same players as us.
  14. Insane signing
  15. This is key for us in the summer and January windows. While we all hoped we would have made more signings by now, at least we're not buying Championship level players for the sake of it like last time - Fraser, BBD, Manning, Rothwell and Stewart all come to mind. It is more difficult persuading PL level players to join when we're in the Championship, but that should be our focus
  16. Not sure Newcastle need Dibling. They've signed Elanga and already have Gordon, Barnes and Murphy for the wing positions. Osula can play there too
  17. Tbf some of those Rangers players deserve to be called out. Celtic have won the title the last 4 years without breaking sweat (and equalled Rangers record for the number of league titles along the way) Not sure doing it in the first game is a wise strategy though 😂😂
  18. 30m for Broja 😦. You'd think Burnley would have learnt their lesson from last time, but no. Their recruitment has been poor, particularly compared to what Sunderland have done. Sunderland having a real go at it, which is what you need to do
  19. And we could do with getting rid of more. ABK, Taylor, Fraser, Aribo and even BBD can all go too. Outside of GK and possibly AM (although Fernandes will likely still be with us for the first game or two), our starting lineup is good enough to start the season. Hopefully it will be improved further by the end of the window. Still another month to go.
  20. Leicester kept a hold of Dewsbury-Hall when they were in the Championship last time, same with Willy Gnonto at Leeds. Could argue they're both as talented as Dibling and benefitted from a season at that level
  21. Of all our prized assets, Ramsdale was always the most likely to go with there being a WC next year. A £4m loan fee (£25m option to buy) is a decent return. If we replace him with Matt Ryan on a free as has been suggested, then that makes great business sense. Hopefully we can now get a few other signings over the line before next weekend (AM and winger please). Some good sales this summer which hopefully means that Fernandes, Dibling and THB are going nowhere (unless a silly offer comes in on deadline day)
  22. Cant see a club right now (PL or European) paying the £45-50m that we're looking for Dibling. Even if he has an unbelievable season, its in the Championship and therefore his value wont go up by much. He needs to start focusing on being a big player for us this season. Ramsdale and Fernandes on the other hand, I would be shocked if they're still here come the end of the window. So that we're not scrambling around at the 11th hour, the club should tell their agents that if nothing is done two weeks before the deadline, they're not going anywhere
  23. I've quite a few friends who are big Rangers fans and to be fair they're not getting carried away by one performance. Ultimately RM will be judged on - 1. Whether they're able to close the gap to Celtic and how they fare in games against them 2. Whether they're able to reach the group stages of the CL It will be a while before either will be determined, but by September we'll have an idea. I remember being very excited after Sheffield Wednesday away, our first Championship game under RM. Although it was only 2-1, it was a game we dominated from start to finish (recall us holding onto the ball for the majority of the 9 minutes added time to comfortably see it out). There were many other games during that season where we were dominant, largely helped by the superior squad we had compared with other Championship sides. It will be the same at Rangers where they're expected to dominate the other 10 teams in the league, minus Celtic. However, when we came up against good teams in the Championship, or in the PL against better teams/coaches, we got found out very easily because they had done their homework on our flaws under RM. I would like to see RM do well at Rangers, but could easily see Brendan Rodgers (a very good coach) and Celtic finding them out very quickly, unless RM has learnt from his experience with us. If they arent keeping pace with Celtic early on, the atmosphere at Ibrox will turn hostile very quick (RM is already on the back foot as he was shite during the brief spell he had there as a player).
  24. Hes much better than Bree and the Championship will be a more forgiving environment so this is good news. Plus hopefully Still makes us more defensively sound. A back four of Sugawara, THB, Edwards (Stephens or Quarshie) and Wellington is very capable for the Championship
  25. Tbf alot of modern day full backs are like this. There has certainly been a shift in the game with more emphasis on the attacking side of a full backs role. Personally dont think hes as bad definsively as you've suggested, but is much better when hes going forward. In terms of playing on the left, he filled a gap which was generated by the clubs poor recruitment. Theres not many full backs being asked to cover the opposite side, particularly not in the top leagues.
