People may not have liked him, called him legohead, claimed we should have won the league under him (even tho Marseca and Leicester were far superior), claimed that most of the problems we have now are his fault 😂. End of the day he got us promoted and gave us a great day at Wembley, which still annoys some of our fans bizarrely. In comparison Tonda has us sitting 16th (for now) and heading for a hiding against the skates next week

I think we can stop looking up the table. Only 9 points above the relegation zone which will no doubt be less by the time we lose at Fratton (guaranteed with our mentally weak team). Its pretty dire right now. Do I think somebody else could take the job and get us playing better and win more games than TE? Yes, but then the worry is we have another short term fix situation (like we did with Mark Hughes) and we'll be looking for their replacement this time next season at best. Unless we can appoint a manager who has the credentials to get us promoted next season (and I dont trust SR to get it right), we're likely stuck with TE for the season. Need to just hope he can get enough results for us to stay in the league. Embarrassing that it has come to this.

I'll give you Che Adams and KWP. We could definitely do with both right now. But Bednarek was average in the Championship and we still conceded a heap. As for Brooks, he is a quality player but he did very little for us on loan. And Fraser....we now have Scienza, Azaz and Fellows. All arguably better wide options than what Fraser offered two years ago (Scienza and Fellows definitely) I said squad and the players you picked were mostly starters. If you look at the bench in the playoff final - Lumley, Manning, Edozie, Rothwell, Stewart, Bree, Charles and Sulemana. Its literally much of the same of what we have now

Of course viewpoints can quickly change based on performances....but a month, really? Just shows how absurd the modern game has become. Whether we give TE the season or not matters little to me. The problems at this club run much deeper than the manager. Some of the players are shite. But then again Russell Martin got the same players promoted, in fact he probably had a worse squad. TE was never the long term answer, but the results were very good and there were no other realistic managerial options at the time. The problem is, and like Still found out before him, these players will not fight for TE when the going gets tough. He has no experience, possibly out of his depth, wasnt a player himself etc etc - these players will look for any excuse instead of looking inward

Would not be surprised to see him loaned back to Germany or similar in January. It just hasnt worked out. He'll likely stay on our books for multiple loans as nobody will be willing to pay close to what we paid for him (like an attacking ABK). Would like to see us target a loan striker in January. Bound to be somebody decent in the PL looking minutes

I hope its not going to be the managerial equivalent of Marek Saganowski. Unbelievable when the possibility of a permanent job is dangling in front of him, but you can bet that once we appoint him permanently, it just wont be as good. Just keep him in temporary charge the rest of the season 😂
