  1. Yep, couldn't even afford the real Patrick Stewart to "Make it so"
  2. Best moment for me was the 12th point, something I'll share with the grandkiddies in years to come. I loved the 12pt spoof bus parade and p*sstake video of City's poor play. However I fear we may've been trumped by a real bus parade - https://x.com/FBAwayDays/status/1927726167240405090?ref_src=twsrc^tfw|twcamp^tweetembed|twterm^1927726167240405090|twgr^|twcon^s1_&ref_url=
  3. Got to pity the guy if he's going to re-watch all our games this season. A veritable feast of football.
  4. City were poor. On the flaky stream I was watching they kept mentioning City beat us 1-0 before going on an unexpected poor run this season. Well if they'd watched that game it would've been obvious how awful City played, it's just we are a truly terrible team at the mo'. This game we got a smidgeon more luck and put a tad more effort in. Also when did defending get excluded from being a footy skill. For some years now derogatory comments are thrown at any team that sets themselves up to do so. We've had occasional 'park the bus' games at St Marys where the opposition set out to fustrate in previous seasons. It's ruddy boring but hey, a valid tactic esp' if the opposition have vastly superior resources.
  5. Great post match interview, the bloke cares! Worth a mention that the WHU forum (kumb) consider us the best fans to visit the black hole known as the london stadium.
  6. I've reached the stage where whoever's the gurning "player" they put by the team list I immediatly want to smack them in the gob with a wet fish. The magic of matchday.
  7. Thanks for a reminder of times when both players and fans would occassionally smile. It by no means was all wonderful, but looking forward to footy games was actually a thing.
  8. Well as pointed out if you consider the BBC not a main TV channel, or Sky for that matter you might miss the highlights. But then maybe it's not on everyone's titwobbleface feed. Also it was pointed out this morning on radio 4 (again, one of those fringe stations requiring more than goldfish style attention) by arrogantly underestimating or undervaluing the competition the big 5/6/7 are actually making it a bit more interesting. Plymouth will have a little cheer this morning anyway, in a otherwise horrible season for them. Better than watching round 6 of a bizzare champions league first stage preliminary game between two teams mostly focussed on not losing anyway. Saints were awful with the game another hard watch for our fans but I for one would not put staying in an increasingly bias EPL above a decent FA cup run anymore. Others with bigger brains than this bear will disagree of course.
  9. Between 73000 - 148000 a year according to the BBC https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cwy1wm0l92ro
  10. I loved this comment - "He was brilliant. No idea how he wasn't getting more game time at Saints with how terrible they've been. Although Martin probably wasn't used to seeing defenders pass forward and run with the ball "
  11. Can you blame him after the poor way he's been treated here ?
  12. Hmm, if a goal is scored when the martin is not there does it count? He's a coward.
  13. Easy there
  14. 83% possesion of course.
  15. We need the echo to take one of them pictures of an overweight middle aged man pointing at his ticket app on an iphone. Or a pothole, or a uncollected rubbish bag, or where some rats have been.
  16. I think we must've all been very naughty boys and girls in a previous life. Or maybe SR are making £££ by placing bets on him staying when every half competent human agrees he should've long gone. Slightly amused by the billing of tonight's prem game as a "sack" event with little comment on our fine position/record and no hint of movement.
  17. Good luck to him, he'll need it as Hull are a basket case. Mind you so have been Reading and he's done well there with no money. Just found out wouldn't take his own salary just before xmas last year so office and backroom staff could be paid, seems like a decent man.
  18. He's terrified of putting Paul on in case he grabs a goal.
  19. I've thought he's looking to get sacked for a bit now. taking the p*ss with some selections.
  20. Bloody 'ell, he can pass! Get him on.
  21. I thought you were joking (something discouraged in this thread I understand) but bugger me you're right. This weeks comments on saintsweb would've given him a confidence boost anyway.
  22. Well that's pleased the irish crowd, lets hope Grealish pops one in as well.
  23. Christ chaps. This all takes me back to my Sunday League playing days. We got away with using the names Hans Holder and Jocelyn Box for our ringers. No incoming news then.
  24. A firm push with his index finger should do that.
