Hey thick head, or dick head, HE HAS PLAYED THE GAME AS A CM. I put a long career history just for you....but i guess you are bad at reading comprhension. Yes we have a young manager who is averaging almost 2 ppm. Has the team looking like the one early punters were betting on being at the top of this league. We were shambles under Still, this player is shite, that player wrong position, wrong style and no hope feeling. Tonda had turned this ship around (in honour of our seafaring tradition) from chrashing on the rock (relgation to L1). I now see a TEAM that will play to their potential consistantly, that alone is enough for me to love this team and game again. Ps. His first jobs were as a analyst for German team, it shows he is very intelligent and has good analytical skills. The other was Head Scout for Klon, showing he has the ability to spot good players.

He did play as a CM, retired 2016. Just some info on our u21 coach, i did not know much about him, so thought I would take a look, i am impressed, his young career stats look very good! U21 before he took over: 2024-2025 Southampton U21 Stats Previous Season Next Season Record: 10-4-6, 34 points (1.70 per game), 7th in Premier League 2 (1st Tier) Home Record: 5-2-3, 17 points Away Record: 5-2-3, 17 points Goals: 38 (1.90 per game), Goals Against: 31 (1.55 per game), Diff: 7. They also sung our anthem with a tweek "when the Saints go marching down" before their spactacular, devestating, club quiting display in the sec half. We colud sing " when Leicester go marching down" during the cup as they are staring at the relegation abyss.

What you on about? Did archer, Casper and Jan take themselves off at half time? Ross, Mats and Charley told them to go do one? Hated manning said enough shite Welly i can do better, go have a cuppa i got this? Larin batteries are finnaly charged and tells little Leo to samba to the bench? Fuck me people look for anything to keep their negative narative going. I constantly hear a famous Fergie story (in his book) from a manure fan. They played shite first half. Fergie was pissed off, never entered the changing room. They sorted themselves out, and as they left the chaging room he was in the hallway and said "right, now that you all know what to do, get out there and @$%% do it! Sometimes a great manager gets out of the way, and lets the players sort it out. The coaching has been done, the players need to execute. Well done Tonda and team and away traveling fans!! You all did it together!!!

WBA put a man on Baz for every cross, not one of our defenders helped out? That second goal, wba backed into him agressivly with both hand pulling on Baz jersey, they both collapsed in a heap. What happened to protecting the keeper, ref was weak on that!
-
One more game before he gets the job full time, with a proper contract, not this end of the year shite! Do not disrespect Tonda!! This man has tranformed our team and season in 4 games. We have won the last 2 games in the first half, game done! He has brought are senior playes back into the fold with the new talent and has them playing very well. All with his u21 staff i presume. I am very happy with our new soon to be manager. An early Chistmass present for a long suffering fan, 1966.
-
I hope he stays!! He has put his stamp on the club with his summer transfers and coach appointments. Although Will Still did not work out as planned, which made the team look very average and had fans wondering what are we doing near the bottom of the league after alot of Dragons monies spent. But Spors had also hired our new u21 coach, Tonda, he already had a sucession plan and had to implement it much sooner than expected. So Spors vision of our transformation is now coming to fruition. Tonda had shown the players we brought over the summer are good. I am very greatful for our new style of play, We can see the bad omens of the past are finally being shed. To be fast, freeflowing, attacking football is a delight over the possesion, suicide, plodding stye we had. (Watched the CL ARS vs BAY, so happy to see the attacking Ars beat the possesion boring Bay). So thank you Dragon for Spors. Thank you Spors for Tonda. Thank you Tonda for getting our team playing great. I think its going to be a great xmas this year and i hope we are all looking forward to a feative season with our team looking more like winners than losers.

So TONDA, You brought most of the old guard back, "but they were shite players, they cried" won ya first 2 games, without time to settle in, "but they were shite teams, they cried" Has 2 weeks to train for the first time with the squad, "but we should have a perminant manager so we dont waste intl break" Won against a team playing well, above us in the league, 3 on the trott, we havn't done that since April 2024. TONDA has shown empatically (5 goals) that he used his 2 weeks with our squad very well, it was beautiful to watch....players had confidence, understanding of movement and passing that looked unatainable earlier in the year. He had the balls to chose an academy player for a big game and he did excellent ! It shows he has a great understanding of player ability. BUTTTTTT, YA GOTTA DO MORE TO GET THE JOB?????? sheesh, now ya have to beat a few more teams, a low block team, a big strong team, chucking hell, why not wait until dec 20 to see if we can beat covenrty before we can say you are a good fit???? How long did it take for some of to to choose your wife...some are probably still looking for the right fit? Love that he scowls through the whole game, not sure i have seen a goal celebation from him? Seems all business and no luaghing and hugging until the job is done!

OH whatt a difference a....COACH makes.....480 little hours Oh whaf a difference a coach makes......player have a clue and know what to do Oh what a difference a coach makes.....it can't be true, but TONDA we love you...... The old classic by Dinah Washington: What Difference A Day Makes COYS

Anyone out there that watches the u21? Can give any insite to Tonda's playing stye? Improvements over last year?
-
I agree i have my doubts about the step up to soon, thus i mention someone like Rose who he has worked under before. But his work so far has been impressive and maybe he thinks he is ready? He has already stepped up in a toxic atmosphere, and won 2 games back to back....not seen that in a long time! He been here for months immersed in this toxic place, so has a great insite on what the shite is realy about. He has progressed the u21 and young players seem to be developing well under his coaching. Maybe Masterbates can give more insite into his coach abilities? Does he want the top job or is he happy to go back to the u21 and continue his steady progression as a young coach? I too would hate to loose him.

Wet spam looking at their fan boy for another SFC player?? Still’s brilliant response to West Ham move for second Saints star West Ham are hoping Fernandes can help turn the club’s season around after a dismal start. Southampton have been using the £41m coming on from the Hammers to make additions for their push to return to the Premier League. Still has been touted as a future West Ham manager. Majority owner David Sullivan has previously stated ‘never say never’ about Still becoming Hammers boss one day, once he has more experience. One thing is for certain, the 32-year-old is ensuring he has good relations with the West Ham hierarchy. Now Still has issued a brilliant response to a West Ham move for a second Southampton star. Nayef Aguerd has refused to play for West Ham at Nottingham Forest as he tries to force a move to Marseille. Still said about West Ham interest in Harwood-Bellis But he made it clear he doesn’t expect Harwood-Bellis to be sold as things stand and sent a playful warning to his beloved Hammers. Although West Ham will note he said something similar about Fernandes at the start of that particular saga. “They want another one of our players?!” Still said. “I don’t think Taylor was ever for sale, to be honest. “I love West Ham, but stay off him!” Harwood-Bellis came through at Man City before being sold to Southampton for £15m. The 23-year-old centre-back has been linked with a move to east London for some time. But it seems unlikely Still is willing to let him go at this late stage of the window, making a West Ham move for Cresswell more likely.

Middlesbrough and West Brom to battle for Ben Brereton Diaz. It has been reported in the Yorkshire Post, taking their info from SportsBoom, that Sheffield United, West Brom and Middlesbrough are set to battle for the signature of Ben Brereton Diaz. The Chilean international demonstrated while he was at Blackburn Rovers that he was a striker who could lead the line and contribute heavily in clubs looking to compete for the play-offs. Brereton Diaz spent the second half of last season on loan at Sheffield United, and this may make them favourites for his signature, as it is expected Tyrese Campbell will leave the club, meaning they need attacking reinforcements. While at Blackburn, Brereton Diaz scored 47 goals in 176 appearances; since then, he has only scored 10 goals across 68 matches for Villarreal, Southampton and Sheffield United.

Well done Manning, he changed the game! Was putting in great crosses as soon as he got on, nice whip and speed. When he stepped up to the free kick, i was already clapping in cellebaration( and hope) before it went in😅!! Got us that tying goal we were pressing for. The assist for the winner was just icing on the cake. Shout out to cap Jack for some great last min tackles and having the desire to get on that cross. He bleeds SFC. A rejunvinated Baz who is determined to show the naysayers are wrong, is a good thing, long may it last. Great team win, stats showed we dominated, but a nail bitting finish was the reality. COYS

At that price I would perfer Romulo from our multi club system, otherwise what is the point. Rb lip has not completed deal....always hoped we could get him after some big sales. Would show real intent. Being relegated did not help!!

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11700/13406817/the-will-still-philosophy-southampton-boss-on-entertainment-proactivity-the-seven-minute-rule Love what he coaches: Still explained his playing philosophy and how he motivates his players. "I've always thought of it this way: I hate watching boring games of football. I don't want to go to a stadium or sit down to watch a match on TV and think, 'I don't want to watch this'. I want to see something engaging. RM are u listening? "The main thing is to enjoy it. But if I had to describe [my teams] in one word, the best one I've found is proactive. One of my key phrases is 'defensive effort is non-negotiable' "How long do we show this to players? Seven minutes. That's about the maximum for their attention span. "Honestly, I'd bore myself going longer.🤣😂

Whats us up with Flynn? the manager has said Taylor Harwood-Bellis, who set Southampton back £20m as per BBC Sport, is expected to be sidelined for 10 days, so he will miss out against Wrexham. Still said: “I think Taylor (Harwood-Bellis) has probably got another 10 days to go. He’s only just joined in training in the latter stages of this week. Meanwhile, Flynn Downes ‘hasn’t trained’, while Will Smallbone and Ben Brereton Diaz also have problems. Still added: “Flynn hasn’t trained with us yet, so we’ll try and work it out. But like I said, we’ve got a few young players in there that did well today. “Will Smallbone is still struggling with his arm, which he struggled with last week as well, which is why he didn’t play last week or today. “Bez (Brereton Diaz) has locked his hips. He’s got sore groins and sore hips. We don’t want to force people into playing or anything.” .......................................... Will mentioning they are looking for a new keeper After the departure of Aaron Ramsdale, Saints wave been considering whether they need to add to the goalkeeping department, although Will Still maintains that the number 1 spot is Gavin Bazunu's to lose. One dilemma for Will Still was sorted late last week when Aaron Ramsdale joined Newcastle United on a season long loan, that in some respects was a relief for the new Saints manager, as it was one area of his team where it was clear who was staying and going. If Ramsdale had still been at St Mary's this coming weekend Still would have had a decision to make and with 3 weeks left in the window it was a big one, did he play the best keeper, that was undoubtably Ramsdale and then risk see him go in the following 3 weeks before the window shut and alienate Gavin Bazunu who was likely to stay. Both Ramsdale and Bazunu remained professional in the way they both handled the situation and when the former joined Newcastle, Bazunu responded on Saturday against Brighton with a faultless performance that saw him make several top saves that meant that his team were still in the game to be able to fight back and eek out a 2-2 draw. Speaking to The Daily Echo after the Brighton game Will Still confirmed that he is in control of the situation and he along with the goalkeeping coach Ruben Martinez are considering their options. "I think Gavin's done really well. I think he played really well last week out in Spain. "He's done well today (Saturday). He's good, and I think as long as he's been as good as he is, he'll play. The best players will play. "I think I've always said that. We need to check for numbers. Do we get an extra one in? I think we'll work that out over the course of the next few weeks. "Ruben (Martinez, goalkeeper coach) knows what he's doing. It's just balancing out and identifying what we can get and when we can get it and how it all works. We'll wait and see." One consideration must be to bring in a potential first choice keeper, someone who can push Bazunu for the number 1 spot, in truth Alex McCarthy at 35 will do a job but he isn't going to play a full season, truth is he never has, in 9 seasons at the club he has played just 134 League games, at times he has had extended runs in the side and been considered the number 1, but he has never managed a full season in that position. He has been a very good back up keeper, a player who can put in a reasonable number of good games in the team, but not 38 -46 in a season. So I think Still knows that he is short in this department and with Gavin Bazunu having suffered injury issues in the past two seasons and indeed seen both of those seasons ended prematurely through injury, there must be a question mark over his ability to stay fit. Therefore I think Will Still is playing his cards close to his chest, he must know it would be folly to go past the transfer window deadline without adding to his goalkeeping squad, essentially after Bazunu & McCarthy he only has 17 year old Dylan Moody and talented as he may be, he is not ready for the physicality of the Championship. So although Gavin Bazunu will deservedly start as the number 1 keeper, Still must bring in another shot stopper, the only question is how good that man is, I would suspect that we will look at a good experienced at Championship level keeper out of contract, someone like Joe Lumley when we signed him two years ago. One option could have been former Southampton keeper Angus Gunn, but he is on the verge of a move from Norwich to join Nottingham Forest. But one man who may well truly be on the radar is Australian International Mathew Ryan who has recently left RC Lens after his contract ended, we all know who also left Lens during the summer, Will Still the man who signed him back in the January transfer window. Ryan at 33 has extensive top flight experience, he has played for Brugge & Genk in the Belgian Pro League, Valencia & Real Sociedad in Spain, AZ Alkmaar in Holland and a short spell in Denmark. He also had 3 seasons as Brighton number 1 before losing his place in the 4th, playing 121 games in the Premier League in the process, also adding another 3 on loan at Arsenal, not to mention 100 caps for his country. Now a free agent, you don't need to be Sherlock Holmes to make a case that he might well be joining Southampton, he has the track record and ability to step into the breach should Gavin Bazunu suffer either another injury or drop in form. He would be the ideal man on all counts not least that he would not cost a penny. And a rumor for ABK with our favorite (shite) club to negotiate with, Trabzonspor, we want 10m, Trabz offering 4m.........😵💫
