  1. Same again 2nd half lads! Phew - just catch my breath...
  2. Jeez. What's Jan been sprinkling on their food over at Staplewood?!?!
  3. The ref's a ****y****flapface...
  4. I love the 'Nazi Zombies' extra game at the end - a great touch!
  5. I'm on Orange after the past decade on Vodafone. Where I am (in Pikeyland) - the signal's excellent & I never have a problem...better than Vodafone ever was. Of course; I actually live at the top of Portsdown Hill which may have something to do with it! I do feel a tad embarrassed with Orange at times though. I mean...fancy calling your PAYG plans "Dolphin", "Water Buffalo" and "Wildebeast" or whatever it is. Plain silly...
  6. Love the game - but then I'm a huge WWII fan anyway! The erratic problems as regards getting online are due to a couple of factors - namely billions of people trying to get online at once; and the fact that more & more servers need to get up & running - which they are doing of course. I doubt the online play will match the truly superb 'CoD - United Offensive' expansion pack though. That was - and still is - the dogs' danglies!
  7. Why is Pearson hailed as some kind of managerial genius by some people? As Up and Away states above - his results reallly weren't that impressive...and then there's the loss of so many players he would have had to endure - had he stayed. Let's not forget that he's managing a Leicester side that's playing in a completely pizz-poor third tier of English football...with virtually the same Foxes side that almost stayed in the Championship last season. I'm still backing Jan. I'm happy to have him - more than happy. I like the bloke a lot & he's still - in my eyes - a breath of fresh air at a very stale club. I love his enthusiasm for the game and his real heart-felt yearning for his "boys" to do well - to learn the game - to mature with each match. I'd have been behind Pearson had he stayed - but he didn't. So I'm fully behind our current Southampton boss.
  8. F*@k the so-called "bigger picture". Most of us go to support the lads - to see Southampton win. And most of realise that we haven't got any hope or chance of changing anthing whatsoever in the boardroom - no matter how much we squinny. Frankly - I'm bored sh*tless of all the politics concerned with the club...it's incredibly dull...incredibly. Any Saints fan worth their salt will walk up to SMS tomorrow fully hoping for a home win. Those hoping for a defeat (dear 'o' dear) can happily post away 'til their heart's content on this forum during the game. Perhaps they might want to ejaculate when the final whistle goes & we've lost? But I wouldn't and never will hope for Saints to get beaten - no matter what the circumstances. That just aint right.
  9. How any so-called Saints fan WANTS us to lose tomorrow is beyond comprehension! Pathetic.
  10. Sounds a very happy man indeed...and so he should be! As are we. http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10840
  11. Final photo update. I was hoping for one of a very happy Jan...but alas - not to be. No doubt there will be plenty in the local media over the next day or two!!! "two-nil - and you f*@ked it up" indeed
  12. Well...the one's that matter! Pearce celebrates making it 2-1: Drew's happy with the all-important equaliser! Southampton's David McGoldrick (bottom) after scoring the third goal Southampton's David McGoldrick is mobbed by team mates after scoring the third goal David McGoldrick is shown a yellow card after scoring the third goal Preston's Chris Brown and Neil Mellor ® look dejected as they re start the game after the third Southampton goal Preston's Andy Lonergan looks dejected at the final whistle Southampton's David McGoldrick celebrates after the final whistle with Morgan Schneiderlin David McGoldrick celebrates after the match David McGoldrick applauds the Preston fans as they applaud Southampton off the pitch
  13. Sure will!
  14. 'kin hell !!!!!!! Lolololololol
  15. Pearce celebrating his goal today...
  16. Note the reaction of our defence after Preston's 2nd goal this afternoon!
  17. I deduce that - in some people's eyes - Lowe is responsible for all the wars in the world - famine in Africa - the credit crunch - herpes - the shooting in Dallas of President Kennedy - every foot & mouth outbreak - global warming - yadda yadda yadda....
  18. I would bet my bottom dollar that Killer's excellent heart-felt message are words straight from his mouth alone - and feck-all to do with Lowe in any way, shape or form. Killer wants to tell it how it is - and 95% of the replies in this thread turn it into an anti-Lowe fest ffs!!! You couldn't make it up...
  19. Is he good... Is he bad... He's too young... Yadda yadda yadda.... Why don't we just wait and see what the lad can do before passing judgement.
  20. Probably the greatest example of this (for us 'old farts' anyway) was the 1976 FA Cup Final against a mighty, International-laden team of stars that was Tommy Doc's Manchester United. They were odds-on red hot favourites to win - and boy did we ride our luck at times. Talk about under the cosh. Of course - we all know what happened & the result went down in footballing history. I don't know why I'm posting this as it bears hardly any relevance to today's SFC...but hey! - us oldies do have our happy memories of when it was actually FUN to support Southampton FC...
  21. Before anyone looks for for any glimmer of hope as regards picking up points from the above run of five difficult games - may I suggest they consider...for just one moment...our totally inept defence.
  22. Coventry: they blow hot & cold...but their last gasp injury time equaliser against Derby on Saturday will fill them with confidence somewhat. Having said that - we are at home - so a draw. Preston: we always do crap away at Preston - and I see no reason why that shouldn't continue! Nothing from the game. Bristol City: good side who haven't yet found last season's form. Well - that is until they play us of course! Away win then. Wolves: going extremely well in 2nd place & will be hard to see us getting anything from the game...except a tonking of course! Reading: away. Say no more...except try to keep it in single figures lads! Therefore 1 point if we're lucky.
  23. Quote [Jan]: "Sometimes winning is the only thing that's important and the players need to learn that quickly". No sh1t...
  24. Oh well - better late than never: http://www.saintsfc.co.uk/news/?page_id=10796
