Rate The Players - Effort & Commitment - not ability
AlexLaw76 replied to Toussaint's topic in The Saints
Can;t say I agree about Mo. He does put a shift in, we have all heard the praise for him 'against the ball' -
Mate, we had people who would only accept Guardiola, when rumours of Adkins departure were rife.

The reality is, we should have a manager that is in-tune with the DoF, the scouting system and general vision of the club. The reality is, Anskerson has been front and centre of atrocious decisions made, and despite the 'initial' message of taking a backward step, it aint (for obvious reasons). Going on evidence of his performance thus far, we have someone out of whack with reality and fully expect a season like Stokes, not Burnley, thanks largely to Rasmus

so, no back seat for Ankerson then. Not in the short term at least. That is exactly what the club needs, more Ankerson. 😆
-
But we sacked him, and rightly so
-
I think they would have got more than 24 points
-
Emry, Lopertegi, De Zerbi?

Taking the backseat, they said...

I mention Venkys as they spring to mind as coming in with 'grand plans', but delivering shite. The only success for SR is a return to the premier league, probably within the next 2 years ,as we hold the upper hand on most of the league with parachute payments.

We have owners that have been nothing but appalling since almost day 1. Spending a bit of money does not change that (just look at the table), whilst we continue to empty the staff-list at the club. The talk of new stadiums etc is pure fantasy. Cortese and many others around football speak like this, means almost nothing. We have owners like Venkys (who also had grand plans) and nothing else. https://m.allfootballapp.com/news/EPL/Ten-years-after-the-Venkys-took-over-at-Blackburn---the-Rao-brothers-are-finally-getting-it-right/2498550

maybe, but the top 10 has Fulham, Brentford, Brighton and Villa in it.
-
Just so happens, Liverpool and Man United are battling for his very honour. Just imagine the luck....

Holly and co stood by, took the coin from This Morning, and now legging it.

Please don't tell me De Zerbi was available to us this season.....just dont
-
Brighton need to enjoy next season, as that is where it peaks. No way does De Zerbi remain there beyond end of next season.
-
LOL at Arsenal Fair play to Brighton.
-
agreed here Gabiandinni's goal being ruled out was worth it for no VAR
-
Don't you get it? The plan is just too complicated for the likes of you and me to 'understand'

My pal who is an avid Plymouth fan said this about their manager (completely biased, of course). He has been unbelievable. 1 full season in charge and we win the league, against far bigger clubs and get over 100 points. His style is a passing 352, but with 2x No.10s usually, although, he does switch that to 2x strikers and can be more direct. He needs pace up top to create the space for the 10s, and had very good wing backs (Bali Mumba in particular). He had a brilliant keeper and a brilliant CM (both injured for parts of the season). Would be devastated if he left as it will likely confirm the immediate return to League 1. However, despite it being way too early for him, can understand it if he was offered a job like Southampton, just a different level altogether compared to Argyle (who will have the smallest budget in the championship) and most other clubs in the division.

Why would anything change? Same as, Mo in/around the team, AMN to start....usual stuff
