I’m not sure GS will be watching too much Twitter and Facebook posts about who to select. if JWP played for Burnley, people who support saints wouldn’t be gushing over him and wanting him to play for England. I think he is ok for a mid table club, but not one that will be pushing much higher, and if we got a £40+ offer I think we will take it. I think the England squad is unbalanced currently, we do need another CM I think, and I wouldn’t take Lindgard as he is more attacking MF. I wouldn’t be surprised if he takes Godfrey who can cover CB and RB and we have an issue with Maguire not being fit.

I dont think so, he is a Striker, they command far higher fees than a PEH, and he is one of the best strikers in the league. If be amazed if he did go, that we would accept anything less than £30-35m.

Oh i agree with you, in that he was always a LW for me, but he played more on the right for us. Id be ok giving him a chance in preseason.

The live games I saw Ely play, i thought he was played as a right sided winger. I also think he came into the side at a time when we were generally playing pretty shite, and that affected him quite badly. I dont mind if we try to see how he goes, but wouldnt be surprised if he was moved on, if you like.

Not totally transfer related, as well, he is already our player, but one to keep an eye out for. Cant wait for him to make his debut at old Trafford in a couple of years 🙄

I dont think it is mean spirited, he has a contract and it's up to us if we want him to stay, and up to him if he wants to agree a new deal.

I do agree with this, but the players and Ralph need to shoulder more of the blame for being so mentally fragile, and think that could be noted more.

For me, our best result is not knee jerking and sacking Ralph.
