I went to Cherbourg and Zeebrugge in September on holiday. Absolutely breezed through passport control with a cheery wave showing my UK passport. It didn't even cross my mind to post about it on a mong board, but I guess it really is important to you and others to do so. Sad really.

It's a pyrrhic victory when the first thing you do after "breezing through passport control" in a foreign country is post about it on a mong board. You're on holiday, enjoy yourself, don't worry about petty one upmanship.

Kansas. Arkansas. Enough said.

I'm not sure we should continue mocking what is clearly an age related affliction.

Therein lies the difference. Soggy is convinced it was a holy crusade.
-
Any day now those ultra reliable weapons from North Korea will be arriving on the frontlines. Watch those figures go through the roof then.
-
Do you think WW2 was a holy war, you know, like the crusades and that?
-
Although Soggy does seem to have confused himself between religious intolerance leading to religious wars and some people who have read a couple of chapters of the bible fighting in a World War. They're not the same, but I don't think he'll be convinced

To be fair to GM, what he is claiming is not wrong. The two things are not mutually exclusive and the EU's GDP can increase, whilst it's percentage of the world's GDP can decrease at the same time. Likewise the GDP of the US was $21.06trillion in 2020 and it's global GDP % was 24.75%. In 2021 GDP rose to $23.32trillion but global GDP % shrunk to 24.16%. All it means is countries like China, Japan, South Korea, India and many in Africa are growing at a faster rate and are therefore taking a (slightly) bigger share of the global GDP%. GDP is also not the best indicator of living standards - take North Korea or Russia for example who plough huge chunks of their GDP into weapons / research and bribes / corruption and don't invest in public services or feed their people!

I can't believe you lot don't believe Hitler was a Christian. Such a forgiving, turn the other cheek, stand up guy like good old Adolf couldn't possibly be anything other than a Christian But I guess haters always gonna hate.

I read it, my thoughts are... Analyzing the previously unexplored religious views of the Nazi elite, Richard Steigmann-Gall argues against the consensus that Nazism as a whole was either unrelated to Christianity or actively opposed to it. In contrast, Steigmann-Gall demonstrates that many in the Nazi movement believed the contours of their ideology were based on a Christian understanding of Germany's ills and their cure. He also explores the struggle the "positive Christians" waged with the party's paganists and demonstrates that this was not just a conflict over religion, but over the very meaning of Nazi ideology itself. Richard Steigmann-Gall is assistant professor of history at Kent Sate University. He earned his BA and MA at the University of Michigan, and PhD at the University of Toronto. He has earned fellowships and awards from the Social Science and Humanities Research Council of Canada, the Sassoon International Center for the Study of Antisemitism in Israel, and the Max-Planck Institut fur Geschichte in Göttingen. His research interests include modern Germany, Fascism, and religion and society in Europe, and he has published articles in Central European History, German History, Social History, and Kirchliche Zeitgeschichte.

It's the hope that kills. -
Luckily though, you are more than happy to pay more in taxes to pay for the billions that your mates and their ilk stole. Brilliant. 🤣
-
You seem only too happy to 'dob them in' to an innernetz mong board though. Brilliant 🤣

Hang on, I thought they were good for weapons and all this dipping into the 2nd world war era arms was just a bit of a laugh. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-65131117 We should be quaking in our boots if they're now relying on the North Korean weapons!
-
Why am I not surprised?
-
Yeah, sure. I had mates that did similar, ironically they were all died in the wool Liberals (except for one, who's an out and out Greenie).
