We have. The announcement was that the manager would be in place before pre-season started. That's at least another week away. Not sure what everyone is getting up tight about, it's not like he'd be doing anything even if he was appointed right now. At least we're saving a couple of weeks' wages

But where does it stop and how is it funded? For example, in our local elections we received two leaflets on the same day, both from the same party (no idea which one, they're all pretty much vanilla!). One had the party pledge explaining what they would definitely be doing if we voted them in, yes sir, you can trust us! Which was to assess the local roads in the ward and cost out how much it will be to fix the pot holes. The second leaflet stated in big letters that they already surveyed the roads, costed it at £300k to fix and would be doing everything they can to get the funds raised. Essentially they pledged to do something they'd already done. Presumably because two different people wrote the leaflets and they hold the public in such contempt that they couldn't even be arsed to proof read them! . The whole system seems to be broken with those in it only interested in reaching the central gravy train.

And if he stays for his contract he would have earnt over £5m! Not sure where 6k per season comes from - although I stopped reading at "St Marty's"...

This is just daft. It may be true, we may have about 8 days worth of 'ammo' in stock right now, but as you point out, we are not at war. You don't go to bed on Sunday with zero sign of war, wake up on Monday and we are in an 'all out war'. It would take months of posturing and negotiations before an event that huge would happen. Guess what, during that time we would be making more 'ammo', more weapons, more vehicles, more planes, more ships etc etc. It is mental to think that our current stock of 'ammo' would be what we would have available on the first day of an 'all out war'.
