Hmmmm. George Foreman v Muhammad Ali (48 years ago), was probably a little bit bigger. Not sure a documentary will be commissioned following Taylor v Serrano

Why would that annoy someone who doesn't read the Sun and thinks everyone who does is beneath contempt?

You seem to be suggesting Boris has no morals. I wonder if there is anyone left in the country that isn't already aware of that? -
I guess the phrase 'you get what you pay for' is the most relevant one right now.... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-northern-ireland-61229753

To be fair, Chew Magna and Midsomer are still stuck in the 19th century. The Wurzels songs are basically written about the area and not a lot has changed in 100+ years. -
There's a Russian cycling team (Russian owned), that has numerous other nationalities riding for them as well as countless staff, coaches etc the majorit of whom are not Russian. I understand why the 'team' has had its racing licence removed given that it is funded by Russian money, but that leaves ALL of the staff and riders without a job. Since the racing licence has been rescinded by the UCI, the contracts state that there is no responsibility to pay the staff. That doesn't seem particularly fair to the people in the team and probably could have been avoided if the UCI had left the licence in place but just banned the team from competing....

So you understand the ramifications of sending NATO troops, but what are the gains? What does NATO get out of sending troops to defend Ukraine - or Finland if Putin heads that way (unless they do decide to join NATO and commit to the spending requirements).
-
Are you suggesting NATO soldiers should be sent?
-
That BOTH sides are commiting war crimes, however, condemnation only seems to be heaped on ONE side. Some people are very 'understanding' as to why the Ukrainian soldiers would want to kill their prisoners of war.
-
Nah, I was just answering fecetious with facetious. My original point was about war crimes. Maybe you think that only one side can commit them because they're the baddies, right?
-
One common denominator
-
Which is a refreshing attitude compared to the Russians. Let's hope the Ukrainians deal swiftly and effectively with their war crimes to set a precedent.
-
Not one mention of the alleged murder of Russian soldiers (once captured), by what is to be believed are Ukrainian soldiers. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/61025388 Before the stupid jump in, no, this is not an attempt to justify Russian atrocities, merely pointing out that war tends to lead to terrible events being carried out by both sides. As someone has already pointed out, the first causaly of war is innocence.
-
Please stop talking about Germans and gas, there are enough war crimes being committed.

You're all over the place on this. First you say we should trust the Independent and others aren't acceptable. Then you say we should investigate a number of sources to form an opinion. Then you say we should only trust sources that you think are trustworthy. MLG part 2.
-
So, you appear to be accepting that ALL media outlets distort the truth. Isn't that exactly what MLT was suggesting when he said they couldn't be trusted?
-
The flip side of that is that certain outlets can be trusted absolutely. Would you say that is reasonable? Some outlets have never, ever distorted the truth to sell their wares?
