  1. It's insane! We've recruited badly, we've spent lots of money with barely anything to show for it. The manager has his head stuck up his own arse and refuses to change. The owner can't even be bothered to fiddle whilst Rome burns, yet somehow, we want to create some elaborate strategy to pretend it is all part of some master plan! Can we not just call it what it is, a big stinking pile of turd, rather than try to give it some sort of justification?
  2. Looks like the student union must have had a whip round.
  3. Started as a trillionaire?
  4. Fingers crossed he'll be back for the last games of the season so we can break some more records.
  5. I long for the days when old crisp packet hands was the most pressing of all our issues.
  6. By all accounts (on here at least), he was 'instrumental' in Martin's appointment and was 'pulling the strings' behind the scenes whilst on gardening leave. Not sure his influence would have been anything other than re-inforcing Martin's already high opinion of himslef and his 'system'.
  7. Under normal circumatances I'd agree. However, having the best 'football' people at the club and bringing in the best players our budget can afford is not going to make the slightest difference if the manager insists on playing keep ball and refusing to address obvious defensive flaws.
  8. We aren't Canada! Good luck 'shopping around' for doctors in the UK. I can't get mine to look at the blood test results they received a week ago! I think you are drawing far too many inferences from specific, isolated cases and believing the worst case will always happen. Anyone who is so determined to kill themselves (legally) by 'shopping around' for doctors after being traumatised or whatever, is not going to be put off from suicide (killing themselves illegally) if the legal route is not open to them (which it won't be in the UK). Checks and balances need to be put in place. So far, from what I've heard of our proposals, that is what will happen.
  9. More information is needed regarding this one specific case. Was the 'inflammatory bowel disease' a terminal diagnosis? If not, it would not be relevant to what the UK is proposing. The rest of it regarding the family not being consulted is likely to be whataboutery (again, more info is possibly needed), as it states the man was over 40, therefore legally an adult that can make his own decisions.
  10. Is the cunning plan to save money on win bonuses and clean sheet bonuses?
  11. Everton and Wolves might have something to say about that.
  12. One where a "playing room" offers support.
  13. We once had -10 before a ball was kicked, so your 0 points is nowhere near the lowest possible. If you're going to be a pedant, at least do it properly
  14. It's getting quite depressing how many people really don't get the soccerball philosophy. Some still think it's about scoring goals, accumulating points and rising up the league table. They just don't understand the beauty and hypnotism of intricate passing and the incredible bravery involved to compete at such a high level week in week out. It's definitely tough being the smartest person in the room so often.
  15. Most insurance policies will pay out for 'terminal' illness.
  16. Doris is the tealady.
  17. He said 'elder', not 'elderly'
  18. I have a sneaky suspicion that it isn't
  19. Is his offer still open to "come and have a chat" with him about his tactics? Put me down for a seat on that bus if it is.
  20. Sadly, yes. Even worse, Nathan fucking Jones is coming out on top!
  21. I doubt it. The team were brave. Again.
  22. One single, lonely, solitary point....
  23. You seem to be confusing me with someone who does 'housework'.
  24. Unlikely!
  25. I wish my wife was fake. Imagine the possibillities.
