  1. Maybe I missed something but I didn't think we were allowed to sign independent trade deals whilst still an EU member? Negotiate, yes, but not sign until we leave?
  2. It's almost like you're condoning violence
  3. Is it racist to single out 'Turkish' dogsh it
  4. Are women not allowed to spend money in this misogynistic world of yours? The economic landscape has changed dramatically since the 70's for a significant proportion of the population. Hey, they're even allowed to go to work now and earn their own money - which they are allowed to spend in shops and restaurants and even pubs!
  5. Not sure why they're bothering. Everyone keeps telling us that the world will almost end and whatever export market we have at the moment will be obliterated on the 29th March. Seems fairly pointless to stockpile goods if there is no way to sell them! No point pretending they'll be sold in the UK as we're told that will implode as well with impending doom and the worst recession in history so no-one will have any money to buy anything! Either that or it's all ********. #MSS
  6. Is it not feasible that the 150 extra jobs being created are largely clerical / ad-ministerial? After all, we've already been told (by Jeff?) that whilst the funds may have been invested in the European countries mentioned, they weren't necessarily managed in those countries. Playing devil's advocate, is it possible that the highly paid - used to be hated, but apparently loved again - "bankers" could still manage the funds from London (hence the 'few' job losses in London), whilst the admin work is carried out in Dublin to take advantage of it's location within Europe. Seems plausible?
  7. Almost exactly one year ago : https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2017/01/17/brexit-theresa-may-tells-eu-no-deal-better-bad-deal-britain/ Having had her deal destroyed in Parliament, the slippery snake has changed her mind : https://blogs.spectator.co.uk/2019/01/mays-new-brexit-pitch-my-bad-deal-is-better-than-no-deal/ This is the person in charge of negotiating for us - no wonder we're in such bad shape! #MSS
  8. That sounds like a solid plan! Having negotiated like rabbits in the headlights for the past two years with the EU, we should take the one solitary bargaining chip we have left and hand it over to them, that way we'll end up with a deal worse than the one May has on the table at the moment, as I'm sure the EU will take some of its concessions away 'just because it can'. Therefore, the only way to take 'no deal' off the table is to stop the whole process - something she has said will not happen.
  9. SO, basically the EU is saying F**K the Irish?

  11. But is it as discriminatory as saying the votes of people above a certain age shouldn't be considered? I'd say they are the same considering there should be no discrimination on the basis of age, sex, race or religion....
  12. EDL I believe... https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/news/greater-manchester-news/were-yellow-vests-protesting-against-15634441 Thought those morons had disappeared.
  13. No, Pal, it got stronger in 2016 - the year after the referendum. It has since fallen but as the historical data shows it has fallen in line pretty much with the 10 year average. Fortunately, some of us recognise that there is history pre-referendum and don't attribute everything that happens in the world to what is likely to be an insignificant vote for many countries! 3 and out for me - I guess we'll have to wait another day for you to enlighten us with this fabled 'orderly' Brexit scenario???
  14. Not entirely sure what Brexit has got to do with the strength of the [independent] Zloty against the pound, especially as 'Brexit' hasn't actually happened yet, but feel free to have a look for yourself [pal] : https://www.poundsterlinglive.com/bank-of-england-spot/historical-spot-exchange-rates/gbp/GBP-to-PLN-2007 Jan 2005 5.8Zl / £ Jan 2008 4.8Zl / £ Jan 2009 4.3Zl / £ Jan 2011 4.6Zl / £ (4 years before a vote on Brexit was even mentioned!) Jan 2013 4.9Zl / £ Jan 2016 5.9Zl / £ (1 year after the vote on Brexit with the pound getting stronger against the Zloty!) Jan 2018 4.7Zl / £ (back to roughly 2008 levels!) I'm sure there's something in there that will make me look stupid though! You still haven't answered my question from a couple of days ago relating to an 'orderly' Brexit and how (in your humble opinion) this is possible....
  15. Not only that, they were also talking about holidays in Krakow. Poland of course has it's own currency, not the Euro, which is currently at the same exchange rate as it was in 2008! #didnthappen indeed!
  16. Are there? Seems like leaving in an 'orderly way' involves agreeing a separation deal, which is something we have failed to achieve in the last two years! Too many sticky fingers in too many pies to achieve an orderly exit!
  17. Why are you referring to it as 'emergency' food? Surely it will just be food won't it - unless your predicting a state of emergency at the end of March?
  18. Have they finally fixed the leaking roof then to allow all the stands to be open?
  19. Only 100 more days of bickering!
  20. Simply not true! We know what a version of leave 'could' look like. Nothing has been agreed upon. I've said it before and am happy to repeat myself, there are too many sticky fingers in too many pies (in both the UK and in Europe), for anything other than a hard brexit to be a reality.
  21. I don't remember being asked to vote about ID cards....
  22. Do they have better weather?
  23. Ah, I see, you can only be too drunk that you aren't even aware of the choices you make if you are a victim, but not if you are the perpetrator of an offence! Would this be an opportune moment to point out that being 'too drunk to give consent' would also potentially fall foul of the offence of being drunk and disorderly? That really could get complicated as the victim could also be the perpetrator! Schrodinger would have a field day.
  24. Putting a different spin on it, should we let drunk drivers off who are "very drunk" on the basis that they are 'probably' not even aware of the choices they have made?
  25. As opposed to migrants from outside the EU? Unless of course their visa states 'no recourse to public funds' as most of them do
