You seem to have completely missed the point. I asked if any (and if so how much) fossil fuel is used to CHARGE the battery not make them. Unless you're claiming they never need to be charged? Also, does the capacity reduce with age (I know the battery on my phone does), so whilst it may last 200k miles, does it need to be charged more often later on its life (and maybe use more fossil fuels that created the electricity to charge them)?
