  1. Not to mention that most banks / building societies would have borrowed the money they lent out at rates between 4% and 6%. I can understand why they are not jumping at the chance to make a loss of 1.5% to 3% on other people's mortgages and go bust. Still, it's good to know you guys are subsidising my tracker mortgage!
