Oh, the

Lol.

Not for us

That's what the bank said in May, but in order to sell someone, there must be a willing buyer

You have OCD if that's how tidy your desk is after 8 hours work!!!

I think I would have to go with a 'why not manage the club more effectively in the first place and avoid this situation completely'. Obviously we can't change what we've got now, but that is why I for one don't want any of the people who have contributed to this position to still be running the club...

Effectively that is what the bookies are doing anyway. Everytime you bet something to win, they are betting it loses. Have you ever met a poor bookie? Have you ever met a poor punter?

I know what administration 'means' in the footballing sense, and the inevitable points deduction. I was merely pointing out that if our financial situation is SO bad [as has been alluded to], that the bank is dictating who we can and can't keep at the club, then there are definite parallels to what happens when a club is in administration.
-
Frankly I think what you've said is spot on. I think the issue most people have is the dressing up of this new 'style' as total football and the best thing to happen to the club for many moons. When if truth be told, it is our only option, because the bank is demanding we sell everyone that costs money!!! Perhaps if it had been announced as 'the last resort' a few more people would be happy. I dare say we would never make everyone happy no matter what, because we're all football fans, and by our very nature that makes us fickle....

Not to mention it's a leap year, so financial calendars are 'smudged' as a matter of course

Which has been demonstrated previously as a particularly 'fluid' event....

It's what the shareholders would expect if the company were to become profitable.

Frankly I can't see the point of the two tiered membership status. If the forum is going to be subscriptive, then everyone should have to subscribe. Those that don't want to subscribe can go elsewhere as there are plenty of other sites available...

So what value do you give a 'promising star'?
-
If the bank is dictating to such an extent - virtually telling us who we can and can't keep - we might as well be in administration already....
-
Pretty sure that was the conclusion on one of the many takeover threads - I think the reason being that the player could break a leg or some other hideous injury, and never play again, thus holding no value????
-
I was pretty sure that players held no value on the balance sheets.... Also what you've said is all well and good, but the value of the club is different in terms of takeover valuations...
-
The team playing well and putting some results together I'd be happy with. Comfortably above the relegation spots would be my measure of success, but since we won't know that until the end of the season, I would be happy for some comfortable results in the interim.
-
Surely our value would be the same in either case - ie the value of our debts, plus the value the shareholders put on their shares?
-
LOL have you got Scooby on ignore then? Also, how many games do we have to lose before things can be considered to be 'going wrong'??

They will be able to charge what they like for TransAtlantic crossings. Virgin should be very happy with this, as they can undercut by 10% and be guaranteed they can fill their planes.

Anyone made the shield out of the new money yet?
