At the very least this gives clarity for both sides. For Bertie, I think he would have something lined up already, and for us it gives us plenty of time to try and get our first choice replacement, rather than arse about last minute as we quite often do.

Hopefully there might be a different angle to this. Maybe the club have told him that they are actively looking to improve the squad in the hope of challenging more seriously next year. It's not beyond the realms of possibility that the contract goes unsigned and Ings sees where we are next season and makes a decision. Like most have said we should absolutely reject all bids this Summer, unless of course Ings has told the club he definetly won't sign.

We would be down without Ings. His worth to us, even if he misses 10 games a season is irreplaceable

Another Boufal for me. Few good moments, too lightweight and flatters to deceive. Such a shame as I thought he would really flourish here.
