I agree. If City are willing to pay 100m for Grealish, then why should we just roll over and accept anything less than 45m? Of course JWP and Grealish are different types of player, but the fact we are looking at is their value to the respective clubs. Grealish is Villa's main man, and in many respects JWP is our main man. If other clubs want main players from other teams, then the buying club should expect to pay over the odds. We sold Mane short, we simply cannot afford to make the same mistake with JWP.

Not sure that playing for Villa would have made any difference. Watkins didn't get selected and he had a decent season. Probably more deserving than Calvert Lewin.

I don't have a problem with either Mo or Lemina staying. There's a player in there somewhere in Lemina's case. I'd love for Ralph to try and find it.

Am not so sure, it could be argued that we are doing all we can to keep Ings if rumours are true about the amount we are offering in his new contract. Yes, money the bigger clubs offer goes a long way, but if we were competing on Leicester's level, then I doubt we would see Ings and JWP linked with moves away. I hate Leicester but they have done everything that we should have done, even before they even thought about it. Wasted chance.

Absolutely agree. See little point in handing out contracts to the likes of Ramsey and N'lundulu. We know they aren't going to be good enough at Premier League level.
