Said he is looking forward to comparing beards.

When you hear things like this, it really puts football into perspective. Thoughts with you and your family

What's that got to do with last season's loan players returning?
-
May have even been financial implications for us allowing them to leave on loan. No problem with any of them coming back.
-
Arsenal away first up. Last up Everton home
-
Yeah, guessed that from the lads my son plays with in Tyro, or whatever its called these days. Just a real shame with his background etc that we weren't able to get him.
-
How did he slip through our net? Genuine question has would love to know. Was it just the lure of Chelsea?
-
To be fair to JWP, he might have wanted to stay. Finances may have dictated the move.
-
Probably the wages wanted would be a problem for us.
-
Liam Delap? We have to move on from our obsession with all things Manchester City. Surely there are better forward options out there.
-
Not sure 16 caps for Northern Ireland is an indication of any stand out quality. Especially when you consider what leagues the majority of their players are playing in.
-
Am not a massive fan of Aribo. I would hope our recruitment guys can come up with better. Trouble is, like a lot of our players we are going to have trouble shifting them.
-
I sincerely hope he isn't.
-
Will be very surprised if Palace manage to keep hold of the England lads.
-
Guess it depends on how much game time he's looking at. If he's happy to be a bit part player here then he'll probably stay,
-
Think Ryan Betrand got done for speeding when with us.
-
What's the thinking behind having contract talks with McCarthy then? Lumley signed another contract recently, Lis due back from Turkey. Not as if we need him to be a back up with those two still on the books.
-
Guess we've learnt nothing as a club as per usual. Muddling along with squad members that weren't good enough to keep us up last time round. By all means keep McCarthy as number two, but we really should be looking at an upgrade on both him and Baz.
-
Guess with SA leaving we can now afford to top up Lallana's retirement fund.
-
Not unsurprising, still thought he could have offered something. Good luck to him in his next step. One of my favourite players from the last few years.

I don't get what is so difficult to understand. Am non-plussed about England, don't care if they win, lose or draw. Same as if I was watching Scotland, Germany or Italy. It is possible to watch a game of football without having a vested interest in a particular team. Yes, I will most likely watch the England games, but not my thing to piss and moan when they get beat, nor will I be dancing in the street should they win the tournament.
-
No, but I was just expressing my personal opinion that I don't find watching England my thing. No drama if you don't agree with me.
-
Hypothetical speaking, if someone said to me would you rather Saints win the FA Cup or England win the World Cup, I would pick Saints winning everytime. It's just a personal choice, I love football, but just find all the hype surrounding the England team boring. I couldn't think of anything worse from a football perspective than watching England play live. Maybe is just a club thing that I find difficult to embrace. When these guys are playing for their clubs you give them absolute dog shit abuse, but when they come together for the national team they are all heroes.
-
Of course it is. You can watch a game without caring about the outcome. Did you watch the Champions League final or the FA Cup final? Did you care about who won either game? I watch football but I only care about Saints. England winning doesn't have any effect on me at all.

Think that's pretty much how I feel. I usually have more of an interest in the games that feature our players. Sadly, beyond Adams and Bednarek there isn't much else.
