Solar speaks… clear responses… underlying reference to squeezed timelines… I think EFL battle lines being drawn publically. Eckert stays and club/fans unite. i like it.
-
Point 4. My guess is that information wasn’t volunteered, hence the saints comment in the statement!
-
Thanks FF. That's somewhat reassuring. Will be good to get things done and dusted to move on... although still feel EFL 'independent' panel wasn't independent!
-
But where do we go from here? To the High Court? I have no issue with being found guilty, but I DO with the process. The process followed stinks of being rushed and arguably unfair. There is a part of me that wants Saints FC to take EFL to High Court for their handling of the case.

Pauli’s or Warnock of the old guard.
-
I would agree, except , in this instance. the EFL should have been wiser and not given a whiff of conflict. Personally, I think there may be a challenge about the panel (not the outcome) and the forced speed of the process.
-
I think a legal challenge should happen regarding the inappropriate not independent panel. 2 links to Middlesbrough…out of 3. Now who cheated? …if true

This part of the statement, 'Dragan Solak continues to support the club financially, and we remain proud to have stayed competitive while operating within financial regulations, something that is important for the long-term stability of the club.' as others have said, is clearly highlighting the financial cheats that get points deducted, with the club (or someone in it) having, somehow, made a 'bad form' decision on a lesser scale. Clearly, the club are informing everyone to keep things in perspective... and for the team to win tonight!

Think Stephen’s against Leicester was tremendous technique for a centre back.
-
In Tonda I trust. The players will be up for it, as should the crowd. Tonight we put Ipswich in their place- 4:0
-
We haven’t lost yet. InTonda we trust

Patience. We still have time to turn it around.

There is plenty of time...

Still waiting for more tickets to be available- any any idea if and when more may come up for sale?
-
Okay. On 23rd January we were 15th with 36 points (Ipswich 3rd on 50 points). what a run!!!
-
Wow, just wow!
-
Picked up 2 tickets today...not many left.
-
Tonda/Spors identified early, but couldn't change it until an window opened, so kept the soundbites appropriate. We desperately needed a keeper and big striker. Both have been a great impact in helping the team, as well as the switch to the back 4.

Fascinating insight into Leicesters finances , well worth a watch . Excellent finance person … Leicester relegation likely administration. Best speaker on football finance I’ve heard. Saints hopefully not as bad. -
Ross Stewart must be scoring almost a goal every 2 games … so important to Saints!
-
Hi Manji, what do you mean by different guise? New partners coming in?
-
I don't want SR out- but I do want the right people making decisions- we desperately needed an experienced manager and a strong spine to the squad- neither has happened with inevitable results. It's not too late, but relegation isn't too far off! Fed up atm!

The Southampton Squad- Time for changes by August 2026 This is my take on the squad and the players- not including those on loan except Ramsdale… Stay/Keep: Ramsdale (ha) Long (as third choice), Moody Quarshie, Wellington, Bree (new contract?) Jelert Azaz, Scienza, Jander, Charles, Bragg, Williams, Sesay, Fellows, Robinson, Stewart (… one year contract extension if fit through to May), Undecided Peretz, Stephens, Roerslev, Matsuki Armstrong Time to leave (variety of reasons) McCarthy, Bazunu, Manning, Harwood-Bellis, Nathan Wood Downes, Aribo, Edozie, Fraser, Romeo Archer Manager (Eckert) We would need two new goalkeepers, central defenders, upgrades at left/right back. Midfield ok if we keep Charles, Bragg & Jander– use u21 as support Strikers…yep, we still need at least one tall, strong beast of a striker who can hold the ball up…as we’ve all been saying for years. I know not everyone will agree- and I haven’t written my reasoning but could do so at length! Truly fed up at wasted year as I don’t believe we can make playoffs – confidence is shot with clueless manager and negative habits.

Gotta happen and needs to be experienced. I'd take some of the old dinosaurs- Pullis, Warnock, Fat Sam... they would sort these prima donnas out in a couple of weeks and have us organised. I am fed up with the poor decisions that fans can clearly see. We need a STRIKER, a dominating centre Half, and to stop playing around at the back. It's not rocket science... and I'm normally the one who wants to give managers more time!

My thoughts, In business, when things aren’t going well, a review takes place- which can often be led by an outside person or organisation. I think someone should be brought in for a short time- week or two- to assess the club's footballing side – to ask questions and highlight areas of weakness where things could be improved. Someone who has been there, done it and knows football players and clubs well. Someone like Neil Warnock or Sam Alladyce – football managers with success in getting promoted from the Championship and building unity in squads - and could offer some insights for Sports Republic and Tonda to learn from. (There are other examples of quality ex managers out there- Martin O'Neil would have been good...) It’s the fact that a Football person will spot and recommend relevant changes that don't need to de-stabilise the club. The cost of these consultants should be worth it. Now is as good a time as any with fewer matches.
