Charles did nicely cutting that one out. Hernandez can be decent, and was waiting right in the middle for it.

Smallbone watch: Stephens is a bit keener to get it forward, directly. So he basically runs past Smallbone, who is reduced to makign a little "get it forward" motion with his hand, as if Stpehens wasn;t already doing that. Meanwhile.. AA through...straight at Gunn.

I knew there was a reason why all the things I cook from Delia's books get burned. It was never my rubbish cooking skills! It was Delia TIme! 🙂

Scoreboard has malfunctioned.

Adams ooks to see who's in the box. Not Stu or Fraser as it takes most of our attack to go 10 yeards down the flank. He holds off. Then he gets towards the box, and it's a poor delivery. A lot of our delivery has been poor. There's little chance of them getting to any of our players. It takes something skillful and direct, like KWP's run to give us a good chance. Norwich putting some good pressure on us.
-
We're on the front foot, Aribo gets completely take out of play with a one two . Srgent runs form wide, taking KWP on rahter than a centre half, and it's in off the post. Good goal form them. Wagner will be very pleased, as this was his game plan to at least get parity, and capitialise on our weak spots. Another Norwich counter, getting their fans going.

I was about to moan that we had 4 players at walking pace trying to get a delivery in. But Fraser got an angle. shame it had too much pace for Adams, who was in the right spot (and it's a plus to have a player being in the right spot) #scar tissue gets Sargent an equaliser. >sigh<

It showed the value of getting a couple of players into the box. It's taken a while, and a few attempts at similar deliveries. But Che was a yard from where he should have been. He had drawn away some defence though. And with that second player (noted also just how mobile AA is working a lot of areas) AA gets a short range chance. Hmmm. Our scar tissue resulted in Manning giving that away when we were trying passing it out, when we didn;t look settled doing it. Hopefully, we'll get some more space. Wagner's plan hasn;t kept us out, and they'll need to change something.

Fraser has already had a blast at Adams. Now Adams does that. Better options Che. Perhaps looking for a shop window wonder goal. Or inside knowledge on how poor Gunn is. 🙂 Finally! AA get in!!!!!

We did well to get a corner out of that tame attack.
-
Baz! He doesn;t stop to have a go at Sargent coming on, as we were all doing. 🙂

I thought AI had decided to start taking over the world by commentating on all championship matches. Sounds the same guy as a few matches.

Better from AA there. Adams again waiting for a header. Gunn didn;t get clean contact on it. Commentator just before had highlighted aloose cross. But it's much like a lot of our final deliveries. No real threat from them, to the point they seem to just put them into rough areas, rahter than have any belief there will be someone on the end of anything. Downes gets one in. Gunn not torubled. I thought Aribo's ball in was for Adams.

Beeb says 71% possession, 14 shots... 1 of which has been on target.
-
That was dirty from KWP, allowing himself to be utterly clattered by Rowe. 🙂
-
Another decent passing move in their box. Manning did well there, realising his own shot would be blocked and immediately cutting it back. Fraser having to do a lot of work from deeper. Just need one of these, because we're letting Gunn off really easy today.
-
Decent move from us there. Lots of touches, and Aribo waiting on the back post. That Norwich keeper did well, passing out form under pressure. He's just the sort of keeper that we...oh... 🙂

Adams watch: Does enough to put a player off so we get the ball, drops back 5 yards to receive one of our direct passes, with wich he's have space to turn and run towards their box. The pass doesn't come. They get some space on the right back position, but we break. Now if someone was to do that chip, it would be Adams. But Fraser was central and available for at least a ball in there. A uch better option.
-
Adams nice and central, although the ball doesn;t reach him.
-
KWP looks in pain there.

There wasn;t a lot on there, but KWP in his new role takes far too long with the ball at times. That time, coming out of our own defence. Frustrating from us. Loads of possession. Not as many nearly moments. Not enough efforts on goal. Certainly not enough dangerous ones. They soaked it up for 20 mins. Having watched our previous games, they['ve seen that 1) We can run out of ideas early on, with our passing, and our temp drops 2) we will always leave massive gaps with Manning on the park. We've decided to push KWP even further forward, supported by Stephens. KWP is skillful, gets lots of touches and is very mobile. Bu, considering the output, it's just as dribbly and indirect as Edozie on the other side. We're better with someone more direct to balance out the flanks. If KWP is looking to dribble all the time, then Fraser needs to be the direct, driving one. Norwich had an offside and a couple of decent counters. But nothing on target in the end. We were a bit disjointed defending them. Aribo not looking as mobile today, and seems to be the one who's supposed to be filling some of the gaps.
-
Hwang looking for any kind of help on 45 mins. Exactly as he was doing on 11 mins. As we fail to get those final balls into the danger area, Norwich's plan working out well enough for them.
-
This would seem to be him doing exactly as he's instructed. Our 3 at the back is supposed to act as cover for both him doing this and for KWP to be even more forward. Manning will support all that crisp forward passing, and pops up forward and centrally when the play is well over on the right. Stephens gets a bit of license to go forward when Norich are depending on one up front. A bit disjointed in the execution of all this. Manning's passing and positioning not offering a massive amount. At best, he's supporting others like Downes and Stephens. KWP's high roaming position not as good as when he was supporting from a bit deeper.
-
We could be looking to exploit a big Norwich weakness. They have one of our ex-goalkeepers. Gunn didn;t get that corner.
-
Lots of work in the box there. Corner to us.
