  1. In breaking news, I heard that a manager of one Championship club, thinks their players could be doing a bit better.
  2. Matching that SR have no credit in the bank for the football players they have bought to give us the performances for which they have no credit. 🙂
  3. "No, I don't think it achieves anything either, Mr Gretzky. But if you'd just step up to the altar, we'll get on with the GOAT sacrifice for Convict Colony. Yes, the convict part of the name, is making more sense now, Mr Gretzky."
  4. Newspaper
  5. Polls aren't something I put a lot of faith in. Observationally, to be worse than Truss, when they were presumably polling just as frequently, is quite the achievement. That lettuce is looking more and more like the best PM we never had.
  6. Just 2 points off 3rd. Trust the process, to deliver a side more capable of competing on a pittance in Europe (Brugge aside).
  7. Well done Russ. Let down by that sending off during the week, but not giving up for the win today. Lots to build and improve on. Only 7 points behind Celtic now, after they dropped two points yesterday. And now up to 8th, only a point behind those on the other side of the stupid table split.
  8. SR will look to bring in players from L1 to build a promotion team for getting back to the Championship in 27/28.
  9. Can't wait to show my kids,Forbes, Phillipson & Masters this thread tomorrow.
  10. My understanding is that, in 1620, we rounded up all the people who shouted "thou art going to get it. Verily thou art...woooooah" and deported them. Apparently their manners have deteriorated since. Hopefully, we'll get to see the tangerine toddler stare at an empty space in the oval office, where his replica Ryder Cup would have been.
  11. Winning...points...meh. All the real excitement is in the shifting player values against the market, in SR's database trading model.
  12. When he's given a quick attack to get space to run onto it, go central and shoot, that's what he's capable of. We prefer to play as though we are walking through treacle, allowing teams to reset and shutting off that space. I'm pleased for him. Just as we brought in some wide players, I was thinking it could be a boost for all of our forwards, BBD included. In about his last match for us, he had a couple of flashes. But his confidence in our set up was shot, and it was weighing on him.
  13. I think that if you believe that planetary alignments shape our lives, you must be talking out of Uranus. (That was easy. Adds 5 points to already massive points haul)
  14. A more cohesive performance. But we will continue to lack quality in key areas, which will hamstring us in every game. Nice to see AA get a good finish, now that yet another manager has gone through the process of realising he's a starter. We're a decent Championship team, without a cutting edge up front, enough creativity or a decent keeper.
  15. If they want a losng manager who is welded to a system, Martin must fancy his chances of aligning with Wilcox.
  16. It's his Clark Kent disguise, so that people don't mistake him for Super Manager, as he shops on Buchanan Street. Wearing the disguise in a Super Manager interview just showing that he loves the attention.
  17. Sadly, apprehension rates plummet due to police forces scoffing abandoned pizzas, and being unable to chase.
  18. Fluffy, empathic, bearded possession based manager? SR's dream appointment. Still should be looking over his shoulder. 🙂
  19. It's the logical step to bring all the data harvesting and surveillance tech together in one easily tracked package. As Starmer said in his historic partnership with Apple " Did you know that you're only 200 feet away from McDonalds and that those trousers you have on are very last season? Remember non-activist citizen: Growth, growth, growth."
  20. The confidence in passing stood out for me. There were glimpses of positivity in the last couple of games, but last night the players were taking a lot more responsibility. There has to be a lot of movement, and wanting the ball, to stop passing into problems, and there was a lot more of that too. The result was that Villefranche found the full width of the pitch being used against them, and it blunted their attack. Not that it was all plain sailing. The visitors rattled the bar, with Louchet making a quick save from the follow up. A header went very close too. There was a fair bit of frustration shown when standards slipped, with the team looking more of a unit. That's epitomised in Courtet. VA are slowly finding some attacking options. But it's still a lonely furrow he's running. Courtet took up lots of good positions, dropping back to support a lot too. Nice to see him get a goal, and like the first it meant a lot to the players. The win is always nice. The desire to win and the responsibility are the things that will help winning again.
  21. It's the upgrades you have to watch out for. As I found out when I got a betamax player inserted into the back of my head.
  22. I was wondering what was below the 4th tier. 🙂
