  1. I was about to respond, to save you have to score that off your list. But I see egg has already begun to point out why you are not only wrong yet again, why you don't understand it, and importantly why, like so many things in life, it's likely to remain beyond you. While I'm here though, don't forget to answer trousers. And I noticed that you've not learned about editing your posts to try and change their meaning. You got caught out on this thread doing it, and you've been editing away again.
  2. Could you provide a list of all the levels on which an analogy is supposed to work, please? Then illustrate why it doesn't work on "any" of them? Obviously, you've already checked, before being able to make that statement. It seemed appropriate enough to me.
  3. No way. He'd already have forseen us lose all our games, leading to really gloomy press conferences. "Sure, I can perform miracles. But getting a PL team out of this lot?" 🙂
  4. As I pick myself up, and dust myself down, I look back to the start to see you've glued yourself to the starting blocks...again. I can hear you cry "it's not my fault! It's never my fault!" Don't forget to answer trousers' question. I had you down as being both. At least trousers is giving you a choice.
  5. For someone who trots out that they want a debate, as one reason for nonsense posts, you're incredibly quick to not want a challenge. Why should people choose not to engage, so that you can continue with your many poor posting habits? Why should you be indulged, to continue to deliberately undermine other posters and threads? Ignoring your posts doesn't work. It just encourages you to do the same things on more threads, dragging them down. The first 2 posts I saw from you today, after your many recent embarrassments, had you being a bell end, and undercutting other posters. About the most complimentary thing someone said about you recently was along the lines of "It's not too bad if you don't engage with him." Just try not to interact with, or feed, the troll, and walk on eggshells through the threads where he's having his tantrums. Or hey, why not do something about the troll? Perhaps if you were less of an infant, you would have learned to play with the rest of us. Or at least learned something along the way. But you're pretty much the same as when you joined. You've just had long periods where people put up with it. Perhaps, if you can't learn, can't be challenged, but have to post, you can have an ever increasing ignore list of your own. That way, you can have your incorrect "gotcha" posts, and never see the rubbish in them called out. Everyone would also benefit, as you'd then not spend a dozen posts in those threads, digging yourself a hole. C'mon Matt, apparently there's "no excuse not to."
  6. 1) Utterly predictable. Never mind that the same information has been given. If you can say the same thing, from another source, you think it's breaking news. You've been peddling that nonsense for any number of transfer threads, where you just *had* to be seen to give the news. Like a man-child on X (sorry, you'd call it twitter), you've given up in a sulk when others kept getting in ahead of you. 2) As I'm here most days, yes, I generally do. There's not that much to catch up on, if visits are regular. If it's a discussion, then definitely, as it's just courtesy to the other posters, to know their views. But then, I don't set out to undercut other posters.
  7. The accordion player is only there, playing that, to give Saints fans a send off as they jump off the bridge. 🙂
  8. The worlds of cosplay and sci-fi conventions are there for you. 🙂
  9. While he is, Middlewordie's post easily applies to players currently playing in League 1. While he's played for QPR across recent seasons, the majority of Kelman's games have been on loan in leagues 1 and 2. Any reasonable poster would see that Matt. You're 0 for 2 this morning. Following yesterday's 0 in dozens of posts, it's maybe a good time to pause and think.
  10. Yes. We all knew about it, because it was posted already. Do read the threads. Matt, even in your haste to satisfy your stadium related fetish. I'd not have bothered, but you're being an idiot elsewhere already today, after your embarrassment in the Lounge yesterday.
  11. SaintsWeb tradition is that I now throw abuse at your eyebrow for being an ITK tease. Then follow it up, by questioning the source of your eyebrow's claims, and disparage gossip it picked up while being waxed at a salon. 🙂
  12. Thanks for your summary and that excellent, spot on, article. I try to be a bit tactful, watching from afar. You have a club with engaged, if flawed decision makers. The position is not where anyone wants to be, but there are plenty of opportunities for players to stake a claim and go up with the club. It's not everyone, but there are a number of apathetic, mediocre players drifting their way through this season. Why they don't grasp the opportunity is a mystery. If that's their level, or they deluded themselves into thinking they should be somewhere else, that's on SR's recruitment and coaching. Oh, for a manager that gives them some home truths and a right kick up the rear. At least you'd see some intensity and increased effort.
  13. Nathan Jones right once again. Playing against 10 is harder. Only a few mins after Le Mans were down to 10, and they got the only goal. That was quite late on and VA had no answer. I was beginning to think a warrant would be put out for the thieves who had pinched everyone's shooting boots. Most of the few chances were blazed over. VA did get a 1 on 1 fairly close to the keeper that was saved. Some running up and down the middle, followed by poor passing was the order of the evening. VA will be very disappointed about the marking for the goal. But they hadn't done anything of note to get more than a draw.
  14. I hope this the case. Keeping him would be a start to having a team that can stay up. Just need to look at 8 or 9 of the others for next time. Bah! I didn't get time to enjoy Saint86's post at all. 🙂
  15. I'm more convinced by achievement over hype. I'd prefer accomplishments in places we want to be, rather than videos of giving a bloody nose. Lots of managers are hyped, right up until their results falter, and then it's the next along the media conveyor belt. Nathan and Russ were both like that.
  16. He was a key part of RussBall, remaining cool under lots of daft pass backs. More broadly, when he was injured, you could see the defence able to ping it about, built on the efforts of Baz who had given them a foundation. McCarthy benefited from that in those final games. Ideally, you'd want a defence as comfortable with possession that Baz was helping with plus the shot stopping all round game of Ramsdale. It's that shot stopping that lets Baz down. Even if some of that is perception/ preference for having a more physical 'keeper, the goals conceded seem to back that up. Wherever Martin ends up, he'd do really well to take Baz and Will with him. Both key in RussBall. Hopefully Baz develops his all round game. You can see why City had him, and why areas of his game are excellent fits for possession systems. Just possibly not enough of them at PL level yet.
  17. Thanks for the links as always Christophe. And for the info. This will be interesting. A test for those who might not have played much this season, to stake a claim for more minutes next season. That's in a side, where you could see the momentum/ hope drain out of it recently, that could be a bit disjointed with players not used to each other, and against one of the better sides in the division.
  18. That also seems to be the problem with Baz, too. 🙂
  19. Little check to top of thread to see if it's the hcdajfu one... Whew... 🙂
  20. The closest Martin got to showing his transfer frustrations I know of, was at Swansea. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/64497895
  21. And Pete would know, having invited the entire Pentagon onto a Signal chat.
  22. Having to clean my tank of the remains of drivers, cyclists, pedestrians, children and dog walkers. Then having to feed all the dogs, none of whom are harmed. 🙂
  23. Does not knowing when it is, answer badger's OP question of why not more of a deal is made of it?
