Got closer to that total than I thought they would. But the outcome's the same.

I saw the first half and the highlights of the second. Happy to see a settled side. Tonda has settled on his system, and the players have to show themselves capable of getting into the side. It's not the best of possible set ups, but he's working with the squad SR have left him with. Fraser hadn't worked out, and Wellington was the best option available there. We do miss Fellows though from the start, and it robs us of an important attacking outlet. Along with the settled approach, other sides know to stop that midfield ball from the back, and put pressure on Scienza. Even so, Scienza did lots of good things today, and we had opportunities. We overplayed around the back. Fine when we invited the press. But wasted when our midfield didn't show up to collect it, resulting in a number of incomplete passes. Baz's distribution used to be a lot better. Don't know if this is just a dip, or if he needs to definite outlets a regimented RussBall system provided. Manning was nowhere for their goal. Quarshie could have tried to close down that space, or at least given less time to pick out the cross. But I do understand that it was Manning's fault for not being anywhere near where he should have been. We got an equaliser with a nice header. But our usual second half drop off, combined with our lack of cohesion when we make changes meant we couldn't get a winner. So, it feels like a missed opportunity. Going into Christmas 4 points off the playoffs, and our form dropping a little, under another SR season.

Good opening, to get options in our squad... Solid tactical analysis of where we're lacking... Post crashes and burns into fantasy land. 🙂

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

A party doing some things well, some things less so, some as best it can and some it's stuck with? In this polarised world? Pick a side! 🙂 -
It's spin off, Celebrity Casualty, would be a massive hit.

We're Mings spiritual home. It would be nice to have him back. 🙂

Exactly what Steve Bunce on the radio said it was for.

That was the comment that stood out for me. Lots of "we feel your pain, and are disappointed too" comments. But underneath that mask, how dare fans criticise them, after the money they've put in. I've not seen many who don't admit the significant level of investment SR have made. But, and it's not just with SR in football, there's a disconnect between that figure, results and ability. Lots of fans are successful professionals in their industries. Lots know competency and capability when they see it. Having people base respect on investment is laughable. Lots of fans are sitting there thankful they are not managing the fall out of fatally flawed business plans sinking their own operation. Many clubs have been more successful than VA without the level of investment. If the money is wasted, then it can't be used as a defence against criticism.

Watching the extended highlights and Celtic had plenty of chances to be well ahead at half time. They created a lot down their left flank. But final deliveries and poor finishing ke\t it to a single goal. Iheanacho is Injured. Those playing missed a couple of gilt edged opportunities. No lack of effort from Celtic, and United barely did anything. United boss Jim Goodwin made a couple of half time subs, snoring up his back line and bringing on players who could push up. And Celtic struggled to get anywhere near the same breaks. They conceded a few corners. Those they cleared, but then struggled to then retain the ball and get out. United first came from a cut back that AA would love to receive for us. The second was a nice shot from the edge of the box. Celtic then had to push up. United had a couple of chances to get a third. Although fewer in number, Celtic could have equalised, heading onto the post from a really good chance. They liked trotting out stats for Martin. 1978 was Nancy's equivalent for Celtic. That was just before the rise of Dundee United and Aberdeen. Defectors Watch Crossover: Will Ferry was in the United side. His delivery led to one of their goals. Edit: As the goals went in, Nancy tried to remain passive. But he was gutted. With the Chairman now standing down, he looks under real pressure as he walked off.

I fully expect to have been dead for at least a decade, before I'm allowed to retire. -

I reckon with the financial support of a new owner, who can invest where Gao can't, that our future is bright with Ralph.
