  1. Procrastination
  2. I heard we were expanding the antelope? MLG Snr has been sending messenger pigeons about it all week.
  3. I certainly don't have your flare for the subject.
  4. Well, don't blame me if it blows up in your face.
  5. Oh for Fawkes sake, trousers. Let them at least start their investigation.
  6. I heard that some Wednesday fans were less bothered about their club going under, because at least they'd not have SOG on their forum. 🙂
  7. Disappointing, considering previous upwards trajectory that tailed off, plus the extra euros boost. Still, in Mott we trust. 🙂
  8. SR on the side of well intentioned. Sure, let down by their ideas of running a squad based on lower paid potential into sellable assets, over having a PL able core. But better than the many clubs with brittle, fickle, asset stripping, non wage paying, tyre kicking chancers.
  9. You should show some application, to make an application for it to be removed. 🙂
  10. A good season will be to run Celtic closer, pick up a cup and to get pennies from a Euro competition. They desperately need the European revenue, while their fans demand a contest at least for the title. Even if they don't win it this season, some improvement has to be seen.
  11. I don't want anyone to track my browsing secret...that I visit SaintsWeb. 🙂
  12. In fairness to Dalek, I do remember my brain cell finding it difficult to adjust from strugglers to Cortese's drive for CL football and the higher table enjoyment of Poch and Ron. Lots of nose Leeds at that unfamiliar altitude. And I'm just about old enough to remember the Lawrie Mac days.
  13. I think those results would represent any group. The difference between someone who maintains the ideals of his part of the spectrum against someone who has a goal of being in power, regardless of how many of the ideals he might have had being jettisoned. Add to that a bit of the reality of having to make uncomfortable decisions while a tally in power, and juggling a number of factions within your own party.
  14. 'Hayley Barnett, SYP assistant chief constable said: "We know how hard it must be for a victim or survivor, who has been so badly let down in the past, to put their faith into the South Yorkshire Police of today."' A rather pathetic attempt to pretend that there's some sort of separation between the wretched organisation they had with the wretched one that whistleblowers have said continues now. No surprise that victims withdraw their statements from investigation by the organisation that perpetrated the offences.
  15. I half expected it to say he wasn't leaving, it was someone else, in a last act of deflecting responsibility. 🙂 Our quality requirements and repeated recruitment failures made him our best defender for a number of seasons. He would have been a starter going into this one too. We ended up getting a lot of appearances for such a small investment. As posted earlier, he went some way to come back after the Polish international incident and his failed time at Villa. It's not certain, but hopefully the likes of Edwards and Quarshie will minimise the impact of losing a starting player.
  16. I heard them mention that not long after the pens. It came across as prepped well in advance and was clunky. Not because I remembered Carsley, as I didn't. But the women's team did fantastically well, and had no need for clumsily pitching them with the men's team. Just another reason to avoid the hacks and the commentators.
  17. Just synch his hand waving blame to a dance track, and you're done. 🙂
  18. SOG managing to switch from it being "utter nonsense" to "the truth is we will never know." in the space of a sentence, doesn't suggest someone with a strong grasp of anything. England have Russo, Hemp, Kelly, James, Mead, Agyemang and Beaver Jones as all very capable finishers. Toone is also there in support. It's been a fantastic achievement that, for years, the squad have been there for each other. They all work well within Wiegman's plans, where she looks to balance her side, with the players trusted to interchange when needed, and with the bench to then exploit and maximise impact. The whole squad continue to do a tremendous job. It seems needlessly critical to point out a player, like Kelly, who has made a massive impact, against others who work so hard in other roles in the team.
  19. Just as recently as the last Euros, the same starting arguments were there when Ellen White started and it was Russo coming off the bench. Toone was also a sub then. It was all part of Wiegman's preferred plan, and team balance.
