Finally someone who is looking to turn the river itchen into the southcoast Riviera?
-
I'd say its more likley come from the new head of scouting bloke who was previously at hoffenheim
-
that's a shame.
-
wasn't he absolutely shite for Hull back end of last season?
-
In theory, it shouldn't be that difficult. Bednerak allegedly had intrest in Jan (I'm genuinely baffled that we didn't take that offer - madness) and isn't going to comand a huge fee. ABK is a waste of space, but clearly has talent. Will have intrest.. we will need to take a hit on him, but at least he'd be off the books and saving on wages. Could easily shift on loan worse case. Wood we paid peanuts for. Could easily see him getting a move for close to what we paid to a championship side. THB agent seem to have been courting him around, or hes had genuine interest. Suspect he'll have suitors in the PL, Brighton, west ham, Bmouth or a newly promoted side would probably take a punt. £20m that we paid will be tough to recoup. Taylor out of contract? That would leave; Stephens will probably stick around. Edwards, Sanda who is young but decent squad filler. We will defo need 1 more CB, probably 2.

yeah he'd be perfect imo. If what I've seen is accurate to how we set up, Still likes to play an agressive, high, man for man press. That means we need to have CB's who are aggressive, quick and don't get beat in the air. Tanganga ticks all those boxes imo. He was linked with Wolves in January though - I'll be amazed if a PL club doesn't take a punt on him.

Good ball player, bang average defender. Exposed many a time this season. Thinks hes better than he is. Get rid if anyone is willing to offer any more than what we paid.
-
Has Johansson actually been linked? I hope so as he is a great keeper. Dare I say it old school and keeps the ball out of the net - regardless of how good he is with his feet.
-
tall as well
-
are you a MLG regen?
-
It doesn't - but continue to sit on that high horse pretending you’re the beacon of all knowledge. The point still stands - If, by signing a striker who scores us the goals to keep us in the leauge, we break PSR rules. Its worth it. A decent number 9, could easily gain you 4-6 points (the current precedent set) Of course it doesn't guarentee sucess, but signing better players (which cost more ££) often gives you a better chance.

I'm sure Forest are absolutely gutted they decided to take this approach.
-
Mascherano aside (who was a CM at the time), none of these played in the PL. PL football is physical and full of atheltisim. You're comparing apples and oranges.

Rohl is my top choice - has been since January. I think he'll go really far in the game, however, Sheff Weds end of season form & him throwing his toys out of the pram leading to nothing short of unporofessional performances has put a huge concern in my mind. I think Rohl has some questionable loyalty morals. So If he comes and does well, as soon as a bigger side show interest, he'll be off. I also suspect he's probably holding off to see if something a bit bigger and better comes up. But you know what, I'm okay with that. I'd rather someone those better than us want in charge than someone noone wants. Alas, Jones, Selles, Martin & Juric. Still is a bit more of a gamble, but I wouldn't be against it. The summer is going to be huge for us - both players in and out. We need to get the new man in by the start of June latest to give them a summer and pre-season to give us the best chance of sucess. If Rohl wants to wait, we need to move on.
-
We're going to need 4 first team ready CB's I'd say. ABK, THB & Bednerak will all, almost certainly go - That would leave us with Edwards, Stephens & Wood. Adding someone like Keane, an experienced head, to help players like Edwards and Wood, would give us a really solid set of options. I wouldn't mind us shifting Wood on and replacing him if we can. Wouldn't be surprised to see Keane go back to Burnley though.
-
That's how I read it. I want to work with the best players, Bundesligais a good leauge and would be a good option for me (as is the PL). If a CL club comes knocking and theyre a good fit why would I turn that down. Nothing to see here. Move on.
-
I wonder if he knows any ex-Genoa managers who play that rock and roll style....
-
Maybe - They'll have a good side, for that level. They'll be up there as favourites for promotion (along with us and ipswich). That's not because of Russ. If his previous record is to go by - mid-table other than finishing 4th, once, in what most perceived as 3 horse race - we have nowt to fear.
-
If the validaton If, a big if, the valution is correct - surely its Solak looking for an additional investor rather than selling the club. Afterall, he would have lost Kraft
-
Its a world cup next summer. There is absolutely no way Ramsdale is playing in the championship. 0 possibility at all. The only reason he came to us, was to get game time, to get back into the England squad.
-
We wouldn't have been promoted if he was in goal all season. Terrible goal keeper.
-
Ipswich are going to comfortably win the championship next season. They have a brilliant squad for this level.
-
Are they any better then? Not convinced. Arguably, they could be worse than us in the PL next season.
-
Valery getting some good reviews at Sheff Weds this season as well.
-
He's really not any good is he. When is that Aussie fit and ready to go? Not that i'm convinced he's going to be any better!
