Fine with me, because you never respond with anything interesting anyway....
-
Do we actually have any more options or is it still as its was....?
-
****** - I can do plenty wrong, but your response is so typical, its like Alpine, you twist and turn and than actually dont really reply at all, just try and dismiss it - You draw conclusions in other peoples posts which are not there, and respond to these withiout actually giving an proper response to the points made .... you remind me of a boy that can obviously read but fails to comprehend.

Wade - the irritation towards Crouch stems from not being particularly impressed by him to date -where some think he's great for 'shooting from the hip' I find it crass or naive - that is my opinion based on how he has come across in the media -- and sorry I dont buy all the fan friendly stuff , just dont think its relevent and its distracting from the real issues at hand - am I grateful we still have a club ? YES - is this JUST down to Crouch, I dont know, the Echo says he has 'contributed' to wages, not payed the lot, but nevertheless that is a good gesture and he deserves thanks for that. Am I cynical? yes but not necessarily because of his gesture - but think about it, its 'leaked' to the Echo and yet he refuses to comment? Sure thats clever PR and good on him for recognising that. Of course how someone feels about Lowe is not related to how they feel about Crouch - I dislike them both, but you are seriously naive if you think that some of CRouches most vociferous 'fans' are not also some of the most ardent lowe-haters... just look at the names and compare posts.... This is not about Lowe/Crouch but IS about applying the same rules in judging their behaviour and actions thats all and that is FAIR. As for 'insults - I suggest you go back and read my posts because I rarely rise to it, but we all get wound up sometimes - and it seems that when its your heros in the firing line everyone starts acting like nuns - never seen you 'telling off a poster' when they called Lowe a C*** - but get all upity when I say Crouch might sometimes have his head up his arse.... jeez dont you find it ironic when you call me a hypocrit? PS. What is so difficult to understand....

May well have to where hes going if guilty !

'Tossers' for having an opinion different to yours - how old are you? Stop being such girl...Read the post again and try and comprehend it this time.... might be easier to read if you crawl out of his backside first mind... ;-)

I would agree with you totally IF you would be prepared to say the same things about any anyone else who dipped into tehir pocket at its hour need... 'NOW, I dont care about the past' would you apply this to Lowe as well if it was him? Se the problem I have is - well apart form leon being a bit irritating IMHO, is that right now we have this Love in for him. NOw the acts of generosity loan or gift is irrelevent due to teh risk involved are to be applauded without doubt, but the level of hero worship is worrying for two reasons. 1) we saw something similar when Wilde arrived - eg taking eye off the ball during the euphoria of Lowes 1st ousting and the naysayers were given a good verbal beating then as well....and b) There have been many fair and balanced posters who have thanked him for his contribution but still dont want him involved in a new set up - yet there seems to be a shift in this with more fans now saying they could live with his involvment in some honorary capacity - the cynic in me struggles with this...

All has gone strangely quiet in the nursery...come on you pussies, bring it on ;-)

Steve Earle: Townes - two great songwriters (past and present ) combine in this tribute...

Great shout - great book - although considered a must for all left wing politicos, its far more a tale of social injustice and struggle and is as such 'apolitical' . Good values, good read... but a hefty one... ;-)

This is perfectly true UP, but that statement could be lifted from any post on any thread that has decended into a anti-lowe rant when someone was merely trying to explain/understand even suggest a positive - yet there are many who ignore those sentiments when its in defense of the great satan - yet many of the same most rapid anti-Lowes are some of those most vocal in their attacj of anyone who has the 'cheek' to criticise CRouch at this time. Of course each action should be judged on its own merits and Crouch has made a very valuable contribiution for which he should be applauded, but its only natural that this is still judged overall in perspective with every thing else, afterall that is how most judge LOwe or Wilde?
-
The point being it was not actually true.....
-
Cant you see the hypocracy you lot are comming out with? you change your 'selfrighteousness' and pious nature depending on who the thread is about - Crouch - how dare anyone crticise him even if he has made mistakes the one good is everything -; Lowe how dare anyone evr mention anything good hes a **** - sorry it makes a mockery of of any patronising statement like the ones above

So what was your opinion on his expose of saints only setting up the PLC to avoid points deduction if we went into admin - to the nation and to the Football league - loveable gaff or major feck up? Can you imagine teh outcry and slagging had this been one of teh other two protagonists on here? What you are in effect saying is that his finance buys immunity from criticism...sorry thats just plain stupid - he do good applaud, he do bad criticise same rule for everyone.

NC, As you know I have been quite critical of CRuch for his errors and misjudgements and will continue to do so, (big need for media training) - and from a personal perspective I dont like the showey stuff, the perception of teh need to be seen as the saviour etc..., but I have to be honest, becaus ione of the lines I use to try an dget folk to understand why I dont hate LOwe and defend some of his actions is that I differentiate between his character and his strategies and actions. Lowe has ego and a strong personality that often means mis judged public comments about fans etc - any different from CRouch's? albeit over different issues? So I cant use one set of rules for Lowe and another for CRouch - especially as I criticise those that seem quite happily to do so! With Lowe I have tried to hypothesise as to why certain decsions were made rather than just take the result and say hes a **** as some do, (for that the nobel and quick witted Alpine likes to suggest that I regularly receive some 'love' from mr Rupert, (it keeps Alps amused I guess) ) So its only fair to judge Crouch in the same light and look to the decision making process - I am dissapointed he did not recognise the financial danger of the over spend and increased wage contracts when FC Chairman, but if wilde managed to convince fans of the 'investors in the wings' its conceivebale he did the same with Crouch - afterall (Speculation alert) was their falling out not about the same time as Wilde failed to raise 2 mil - possibly his contribution to the fabled investment? BUt still whatever the reasons he should have been less naive here - This is the problem of 'football first' - the fans love it the bank manager hate it... does not make him evil, but I do wish he would stop the pandering. Despite what some may think there is a need IMHO for those in positions of power to keep their distance form fans to some extent - to avoid being drawn into making decsions that are based on genuine heartfelt passion for the club rather than the bastard decisions necessary. Open minded fans will at least understand what Lowe was hoping for and perhaps even some of the logic in most of the decisions he made, even if the groundswell of opinion was that it was odds on to fail, (some were a bit bizzare though come on admit it - I have had to because its just impossible to defend without looking silly) - I stand by my opinion that financially he is still the one who I would want in charge (of the three) because as many have said he would not have let wages go to 81% of revenue - but he really did need to get advice on some of te footballing decisons - not saying he should still not have had ideas because sometimes its more about crap implementation or 50% is good, rest bad = failure, but its true it did seem he did not learn... with CRouch, dont really have too mucto to say on strategy as he does not yet seem to have provided one, so maybe its best to reserve judgement? As to the loan - well sure I am suspicious of the rapidity with which its in te media - all good PR and that, but you cant deny if it heklps teh club and keeps us afloat his heart has been in the right place - if he benefits PR wise as a result, is that really that bad a thing? I would have loved it if Lowe had kept on Pearson - simply because for once he would have gained a bit of gruding support and a PR boost that may have helped keep spirits up - results is a different matter and one we could all argue over till blue in teh face, but there is no denying it was a PR diaster whatever the potential impact on the football.
-
Yup got the e - sorry not had a chance to reply as too busy trying to keep up with the misery we are in - will e soon - I am sure it must be time to get on our bikes....
-
Crouch: head might at times be up his own arse, but no denying his hearts well and truely in the right place. Fair?
-
Interesting though the RUMOUR that the 'overseas group' did not want to get into bed with Pinnacle, bith wanting to do it by themselves...?
-
So is yet to be found guilty? If he is guilty lock him up, get him help, if not then we should maybe lay off the slaggings?
-
I have been trying to convert NSS for a while now and to seek treatment for the blue affliction as he is a rather rational and intelligent bloke who is wasted at Fraton Park ;-)
-
I would much rather have Crouch than no club - no argument same as I would have Lowe if the alternative was no club.... I think you will find that there are more who would rather have no club than Lowe than no club or Crouch.....
-
... final though for today (teh cheers go up) IF Lowe was teh only one prepared to save teh club in a deal (hypothetically speaking) I would just say this - I would hope he did more as in the first 8 years than the last 5 - I woudl know he had not learned from his past mistakes and assume more **** ups, bad decisions and misery in footballing terms as we go with a new US caoching set up form those masters of the world game, and play onl;y players between teh ages of 14-17 and 45-58 as Lowe embarks on anew era of antiagism in teh professional game as a strategy to encourage a greater raport between players and the fans.... but you know what... its would still be sainst warts and all and thats in the blood my friends - so it might be a bit like your child that went wild, did drugs ended up thieving and in prison, but they are still your child and you love them come what may... even knowing who led them astray..?
-
..unless as pointed he you must not be named.... is involved... ;-)
