Fair points - and I did not read the full text - but that line could easily be taken as questioning the set up - Adkins is goodd, but not about the owners etc - Just wish when pundits are talking about these 'details' of clubs, they would actually do some homework and not just go for the simple provocative rubbish that ignores the full picture.

NO idea if this is right but trying to make sence of all the tweets.... Although Penarol retained 30% of his rights/ownership, that does not necessarily mean 30% of any fee - we had agreed originally 1.5mil with penerol for their part. Sunsequently we renegotaited with Bologna and gave them more - which was probably the money allocated for Penarol - with the view to either a) expecting bologna to pay off penerol, or b) coming to anpther arrangment with Penerol We have to own him out right under FA rules etc - but we could convert the penerol share to a sell on as some have suggested or agree different payment terms etc. Its also possible that Penerol have claimed more cash (the additional 600k?) as the amount we are paying for teh 70% has gone up, they could be looking for a bit more as well....

Even anothe club coming in now will need to sort out teh issue with Penerol and yes if we dont see it through it will make it easier for others as the ground work/pre/what is acceptable will have been done - but thats life - what should we do? avoid going for decent targets for fear getting dumped? Jeez, we will never get every target we are after either because we wont pay the asking price, wont pay the wage demands or the player does not want to come here - and thats the same for every club. Those making swifter deals are doing so because of less complex ownership and offering over the odds in either fee or wages - this one is taking longer because we will not pay more than we think he is worth and as we have seen so far this has meant the Bologna have agreed....

Throughout this saga ..... there has not been 1 official comment from Saints - which we would do well to remember - huge amount of speculation and utilization of media and twitter to 'manipulate' the deal - its the only reason for leaks, otherwise its BS. If we sign him we sign him, if not, then so be it... someone else pays 20mil or more, then they are welcome as its too much for a player who is still developing and has no track reord in the prem IMHO... still think its a tease from Bologna to hurry us up.....
