  1. Oh dear.
  2. I think we should stick with 4-5-1 just in case we get a penalty which we can then miss. Whoop whoop
  3. Great result, well ground out! Edge of the seat stuff, battling away for a point to edge us closer to safety, just like the old days! Or last season. Ahem.
  4. This thread has gone off track I think we need a signal to start again from a new platform, as I don't think anyone's likely to put the brakes on this one...
  5. http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/hampshire/7606212.stm Not sure if it's the same girl, but eeek anyway, surely that counts as a sexual relationship :smt120
  6. I have a brick from the Archers Road End. It sits proudly on top of my electricity bill.
  7. Absolutely not true in all authorities. All food premises are inspected initially, and high risk premises are visited far more often than those classed as low risk. For example, a pub serving just packaged crisps would likely be visited once every couple of years, while a higher risk premises such as a sushi restaurant would be visited every six months, depending on their last score. If, for example, a kebab shop is inspected and comes up very poor, if it's not shut down immediately, then it will be inspected soon after on a date agreed with the owner, and an improvement will be demanded. Each premises is scored on a hazard and compliance basis, as set by the FSA (http://www.food.gov.uk), and the final scores will go some way to determine when the next visit is scheduled. Now that a score is published on the Internet, these rogue restaurants know they need to pull their socks up or they'll lose business. HTH
  8. The problem for EHOs is that there are something in the region of 1000-2000 food premises in any largish authority - that's a lot to inspect. Given that these guys also have to deal with food complaints / poisonings, you can see that they would be stretched to pick up everything. The introduction of 'Scores on the Doors' should hopefully give some of these restaurants / takeaways a good kick up the backside, as none of them are going to want negative publicity. Check this out if you haven't seen it: http://www.safe2eat.com/
  9. Two VERY good goals today, the second was excellent...we just passed it right round Brum! One thing though, we need to be a little better with our final ball. Nail that and we will walk this league
  10. Yup, that's where I was headed! Great fun! Flew from London City to Madrid in a rather small plane last summer and we endured an aborted landing at Madrid...also rather exciting although it only dawned on me just how to close we were to landing later on...apparently the Spanish ATC had not noticed the other plane on the landing strip!! It seemed like we were literally only a few feet from touching down...eeek! :smt120
  11. Yesterday's crash sounded horrific. Apparently most of those who survived only did so having been thrown into a stream by the impact! Scary stuff. Wow, I don't remember that one but had a good read over lunch...shocking http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Swissair_Flight_111 This was the last plane I flew on, back in June, it was old, like a minibus, and was absolutely BRILLIANT
  12. Hmm, losing again is disappointing, but to be fair we were up against what will be one of the league's top teams this season IMO. If we were still in the Prem, we wouldn't expect to beat the top teams, so why should we now? We have fallen in stature, and we need to accept it and not get upset at defeats like this. This is still a very new and young Saints side, and they haven't shipped 5 to an average Championship side yet (like the old pros did a few times last season), so I'm still behind them and the boss man!! Come on Saints!!
  13. Who remembers BushcraftGate? Sorry Baj!
  14. Great news about his captaincy too
