Quite a few of us left and stayed to applaud the team and Martin after the final whistle.
-
They were shocking until they took the lead in fairness.
-
Yeah wasn't great at all to put it lightly. We have some very angry people in our support, it's extremely odd. Only positive is lots of people seem to be trying to replace the library one with Taylor Harwood Bellis so hopefully that continues. The Stuart Armstrong one is weird as we only seem to sing half the song and don't bother at all once the words end which kind of defeats the point. Some small pockets seemed okay but far too many people around me stood in complete silence for pretty much the whole game. Lots of young-ish lads too, reckon the talcum powder wobbles them too much.

Ended up in The Robins which is their home pub presumably!
-
Never been Bristol before. Any decent boozers near the ground?
-
I always have prioritised the clubs accounts over on the pitch stuff. That epic moment when we announce a profit in the Summer. Things dreams are made of.
-
Thanks for advertising that to loads of people...
-
I'm really intrigued to see how we get on at Birmingham seeing as Mowbray did us over so spectacularly at Sunderland.
-
Think one hundred fits okay really but 27 might be difficult which will hopefully be Friday. 30 doesn't fit either so would have to be '30 games'. Nice problem to have though!
-
Anyone who booed at half time should be utterly embarrassed with themselves. Hope they left at 3-2. Unbelievable game of football. Can't remember anything like that at SMS for a long time. I'll be shocked if we don't get promoted.
-
Joe Rothwell will be winning this. Stupendous strike.
-
What do you mean 'perhaps' lol? Surely there's no debate that the cup final win is the biggest result in our history. It's our only major trophy!
-
I reckon 4 will probably be alright. Are you going to Bristol? As if so it'll be 5 then which is the Wednesday morning window.
-
Reckon I've no chance of this one unless a lot of people going to Anfield don't bother. Was hoping for a 3k allocation as their attendances are poor.
-
Yeah it's bizarre isn't it. I thought we'd struggle to take more than 3k but we've sold loads already. I'd already decided not to go but I'm almost getting drawn into the hype. Might be our best midweek away following for years.
-
Newcastle must run them close.
-
Yeah that's what I'm hearing from a lot of people too. I'm definitely gonna give a miss as it needs an overnight stay so a lot of money with other more interesting away games on the horizon.
-
Anyone who wants one gets one for this imo. Don't see more than 3k schlepping up there. And even that might be a push.
-
Be great if we can get a huge number up to Blackburn. Should be a good opportunity for people who can't normally get tickets to do an away game.
-
Plus one for raspberry beret. Will be giving this a go at Bristol and West Brom.

God no. Our songbook is horrendously limited as it is and you want to limit it further? We need to go the other way and add new songs. The slow version of OWTS gets far too many outings and is part of why away atmospheres fizzle out early as people get bored. Fast OWTS is much better as it can be kept going for a long period, all our best away atmospheres tend to have a continuous 10-15 minute period of this at some point in my experience.
-
That's an older one isn't it? I thought the one people were on about here was the more recent "football in a library, do do do" (think Johnny Viafara). Both are terrible to be fair.
-
Most likely a bit late for this but have an adult ticket available for this for a tenner if anyone still in soton wants it.
-
Agreed mate. Made sense to a degree up to now but I think there's a good chance we'll come close to selling out majority of Saturday games now as long as we're in the top two hunt. I'd prefer the EFL took the same view as the Prem really but as the rules state less we should take advantage imo.

No. We finished 8th, 7th, 6th, 8th in 2014-2017. We finished 11th in 2020/21. Well that's not true is it. Some are but there are lots of people are saying that that away fans behind the goal makes a big difference, it's literally been argued on this thread. Though no one has suggested anything about the champions league as far as I can see. The atmosphere question is a different debate entirely which is a valid one but also remains to be seen. I don't anticipate that away fans will sing less in a corner but maybe our support will get louder. Soon find out seemingly. I think it's more likely that our support's just a bit shit personally and we have a lack of songs.
