  1. For him to take our second half performance as a positive is just embarrassing - we conceded 2 goals in the first six minutes of it FFS!
  2. Which part of what he said do you disagree with as I really am struggling to think of who we could beat at the moment.
  3. Do you actually believe that fans sack managers? If you do you are seriously naive. A then Southampton Football Club employee was asked by his bosses to alter the way in which he went about his duties, he refused and so he was removed from his post. If he had changed then there’s every chance he’d still be here but he didn’t. To insinuate that the blame for Puel’s sacking lies with fans who expressed displeasure at having spent their hard earned on a season of very few goals at St Mary’s (culminating in zero in the last six) it’s just total nonsense.
  4. Celebrated it in quite an over the top manner given we were 5-1 down.
  5. Puel would have become one of our best managers ever?! I’ve read it all on here now.

    Redmond

There were plenty of boos for VVD when he came on at Palace. Don't have any issue with Redmond not trying just the way he behaves on the pitch in relation to his team mates.

    Redmond

He does I think but he takes someone on once every five games. Far easier to turn back inside and pass on the responsibility to someone else or, like today, give it away to set up the opposition counter attack. Hopeless player.
  8. Absolutely. Would rather see Sims/McQ or Hesketh on over Redmond every game.
  9. We've got to spend the Virgil cash wisely but we can't allow Pellegrino to be the one to spend it.
  10. Pellegrino confirms Austin will be out "for a long time". Oh dear.
  11. It seems we caught City on an "off" day - they had a bit of a wobble (be their standards) when they played against us and then West Ham. We credited the narrow defeat to some sort of tactical inspiration by Pell because it came immediately after the 4-1 against Everton. Yes, we had some players out today but we are going to sell Van Dijk so it was still our first choice CB pairing out there today.

    Redmond

Exactly. Reminds me of when we had Jason Euell and he got dogs abuse for being total s*it when he was our highest earner. He didn't care a jot about us and it showed whereas players like Bennett (who was equally awful) got support because you could tell he was trying but just wasn't very good.

    Redmond

Probably because he has been consistently awful all season. I'm struggling to think of any positive contribution he's made except for the run against Huddersfield. The other players you've listed have all turned in decent performances at some point this season. Redmond's terrible attitude on the pitch doesn't help him - his first reaction is to mouth off to someone else. Also, Forster gets his fair share of ironic cheering from the fans so its hardly unique treatment.

    Redmond

He literally set up one of the Spurs goals from the edge of their penalty area. There were some shocking performances out there but that was a dreadful mistake to make.

He's been on the verge of making the mistake he made today all season. Terribly limited player.
  16. That may be right but the whole "fans who wanted Puel out are getting what they deserved" is tiresome and wrong. Nobody asked for Pellegrino to be inflicted upon us.

  18. Says everything about the quality of the manager/coaching when you set up as defensively as we did at the start and still concede 5 goals.
  19. Those two mistakes by Lloris will have bought Pellegrino more time. It was an awful performance but can't see us sacking Pell until after Palace at home at the earliest.
  20. This is what he will say.
  21. But, I presume nobody said they wanted relegation which is ultimately what Pellegrino will bring us.
  22. Not really sure that this is a time for the Puel in/out camps to be scoring points off each other. Whatever happened last year, nobody asked for an incompetent manager like Pellegrino to be appointed.
  23. It is relatively easy to play when you're 5-1 down against a team playing at walking pace.
  24. Just hope that a couple of goalkeeping mistake goals don't blind our board to how bad this has been.
  25. Nice to see Shane taking the limelight off Redmond by setting them up with a top quality defensive header. Laughable how many basic mistakes we've made today. We are seriously lucky its only 5.
