  1. JRod is better than Rickie up front on his own? Not a chance. Thank god you don't pick the team and thank god Potch hasn't started playing JRod up top on his own in the League. Against Yeovil it was plainly obvious Jay is not ready to play that role full time.
  2. I actually think Chambers is better defensively, just my opinion. I obviously think both are great, but don't think there is that much difference between the two.
  3. 4-3-3? Surely that's more attacking than my suggestion? Our usual formation gives us a lot more stability as you have 2 holding and the ability for 3 advanced midfielders to drop deeper (especially Davis) if we are under the cosh. We also need both RL and JR on as Rickie can hold it up and JRod can give us some relief with our pace. Plus, we've haven't played 4-3-3 this season, it would be a bit silly to start against the league leaders at home....all I'm advocating is to stick to what we know as we have seen we can beat the big teams playing that system. We lost 2-0 at the Emirates but for a large part of the game we dominated their midfield playing that system.
  4. To be fair to him, he did actually play pretty well and made some nice passes and touches. I was surprised he went off but assumed it was because it was his first game back from a long time out. I think he will become a good option from the bench in the League (I know this won't be a popular view).
  5. Boruc Chambers Fonte Yoshida Shaw Wanyama Morgan JRod Lallana Davis Rickie None of this defensive minded business, do that and we'll get hammered. Might as well give them a good go with our first choice XI.
  6. Exactly - he would have never said that we won't give Dani a chance because he isn't like that. We will give Dani a second chance if he is willing to change and integrate into the group, that's what he said and that's what I believe the squad would do if the opportunity/circumstances arose. So he knew what he was saying, but he wasn't saying what Saint Charlie inferred he was I don't think.
  7. Then why didn't he say it? It sounded like he was saying, if he's willing to come into the group that's fine, if he doesn't then he has to go.... That is far from saying 'you have to go, we aren't going to give you another chance' which is what the headline suggests.
  8. Can't understand the negativity? Its not like he's replacing MP as manager, he's on the Board and has a lot of sporting experience by the sounds of it. Let's see what he's able to bring to the table before writing him off completely eh?
  9. How have they come up with that headline/inference from those quotes? Utter trash newspaper.
  10. He looked really good I thought. As others have said, like a mobile Peter Crouch. He made good runs, has good control and looks to have a decent strike on him. Get him more involved in the Prem I say. Looks like he's capable.
  11. Doesn't mean that's why he isn't playing today though? Could just be rested for Arsenal. He stayed on at Sunderland and made a few saves so I don't think it's too bad. Makes sense to protect him for Arsenal. Just seen the above. So ignore that.
  12. Is he even injured?
  13. With the Osvaldo developments he's the one player we cannot afford to lose!
  14. Is it against the rules? Premier League teams can loan players to each other, so is this specifically disallowed?
  15. Well said, I just cannot believe the hyperbole posted on here recently. We are on course for our highest finish in years, playing some of the best football I've ever seen from a Saints team and people come out with this stuff. Compared to the last ten years these recent events are nothing. We don't realise just how good we currently have it. If we reached the FA Cup final then presumably all these who had "lost interest" would immediately come out of the woodwork.
  16. You really are making yourself look a bit silly with this wives and girlfriends gag. Just serves to show you've missed the point of what has been said.
  17. Agreed, thats the point I'm trying to make that pap keeps ignoring.
  18. No, but presumably you'd want to test drive a car before you bought it? Or would you just buy it because some Autocar journalist said it was ace? All I'm saying is, your opinion which you keep hammering home forcefully to anyone who will listen is based on what you have read and seen in YouTube (and sometimes your arguments aren't even based on an accurate reflection of what the article actually says - I.e the controller article). If I were buying a product I would want to hear from someone who owned it or had at least used it rather than someone who had read someone else's opinion on it. And yes, I do think you have to own or use something to review it. The people who write the articles you are reading have actually used an Xbox. You on the other hand are purporting to advise others as to its merits without any first hand experience at all.
  19. Seriously, why do people even bother responding to this rubbish? It's a complete waste of time. If sitting relatively comfortably in 9th in the Premier League with the best squad we've had in decades (none of whom have left) can be described as chaos, then I would love to see order... Seriously alps, have you been awake for the last 10 years?!
  20. You may be a prospective buyer, but you are extremely quick to dismiss the views of those who actually own the machine. If I was a prospective buyer I'd want to hear about end user experience rather than watch some YouTube video or read an article. The posters are offering an opinion that you've chosen to dismiss as buyer's remorse in preference to something you've seen on YouTube. What's the point of having a debate if you've already made up your mind? It's not a debate if you refuse to even consider the views of others.
  21. Doesn't it boil down to the fact that they are presenting real life experience using the xbox in their households? It makes no difference that it's not your wife or your girlfriend. Fact is, you don't own an xbox so can't comment as to what it is like to use practically. You are basing your negative opinion on a couple of YouTube videos and a handful of articles. The posters above are merely describing their experiences. If voice control doesn't float your boat then fine, but some might enjoy it. Surely you'd be better spending the time you post on here to actually use your ps4 rather than tell people who have xboxes what is wrong with their console (despite the fact you don't actually own one and therefore aren't best placed to comment).
  22. Relegation? We have 31 points for goodness sake. We quite clearly are not going down. Change the record. Also, why will we need 14 more points? We wouldn't need 45 points to stay up anyway!!
  23. What a joke. Osvaldo you utter idiot. What a waste of money.
  24. Exactly, its hardly like she's taken long to do it (in relative terms). Maybe she wanted to draw up a list of candidates and find out who was available and when before appointing an interim CEO. If our preferred candidate had been available immediately then we might not have needed an interim at all. Again, the competent and responsible thing to do when running a business, only take action when you need to and have considered the circumstances. To call the appointment incompetent purely because it wasn't made on the day Cortese left is a bit silly. If you agree with the move in principal then the timing is not relevant as nothing drastic has happened whilst we didn't have a CEO, but it was clearly a situation that couldn't continue indefinitely.
  25. I just cannot understand what is incompetent about putting an interim CEO in charge whilst you get your preferred choice.....I would love to know how you've come to that conclusion. In fact, many companies turn to their CFO when the CEO leaves until they find a replacement. If we'd have jumped the gun to get someone who was available rather than who we actually want (and I'm confident that's the reason for the INTERIM appointment) that would have been incompetent. KL's actions reflect a sensible approach to running a business.
