Won 5 of first 17 away I meant to say. Can't edit post

I doubt that even you seriously believe we will get 85 points surely. So we are miraculously gonna start winning all of our away games when we've so far only won of our first 16? Including 3 very average recent performances at brentford , Exeter and last night. Be interested to know how this form is suddenly going to pick up to the level we need it to. Eg pretty much zero slip ups allowed from now on

You are my hero

Quality! I LOL'd

Yes, I think we probably will. Plenty of people will want a day out at wembley, as it's been 18 years since we last went

It seems as thought Cortese is a man of principle, and hasnt taken kindly to his request being ignored by the echo, therefore is letting them know about it in no uncertain terms. I'd say its more the principle of his wishes being ignored, than the actual details of what the echo actually did (eg print story a day early) which has riled him. Could be wrong though
-
The dispute in general is yeah, but the exact details of saints tough stance on ID at turnstyles for example? Surely only the echo would know of the so called "heavy handedness" from the club.
-
This is absolutely pathetic, if the echo have been feeding this then they really are getting desperate.

As i understand it, yes. Home leg purchasers have priority over everyone else, bar season ticket holders. So, season ticket holders first, then all those who bought a ticket for the home leg.

Chill dude

He also saved one against coventry, and one against charlton. Im also sure there was more.

What....sexually?

I'm glad he's no John Motson, Motson is without a doubt one of worst commentators ever. Can't stand the blabbering fool...."now, look here...", and "ah hahaha" whenever something actually not very funny occurs. Merrington is actually good comedy value, over the last few seasons he has become "the voice" of solent, when saints are on. Now whether thats a good thing or not.......

This was sadly very predictable once we'd been shot out. Total momentum swing from the word go. Yesterday i said SA would post 300 minimum, thats now looking very optomistic! 500 would be more to the mark now!
-
Fair enough, i am at work so didnt hear that. Maybe just poor application from our batsman combined with good aggressive bowling then. Still, maybe in our minds we have settled for a 1-1 scoreline, which isn't a disgrace, but would have been nice to show a bit more fight for this final test. All is not lost, but i can't see us bowling them all out for under 300. Momentum is with them, as now is the confidence, from their bowling efforts.
-
Hindsight maybe, but what a bizarre decision to bat first, when all week all we kept hearing about was that the pitch had been deliberately prepared to be bowler friendly to aid the chances of a positive result. Maybe the thinking was, "it's best not to bad last on this deck", but surely with SA under immense pressure you would have thought we'd put them in and get at them to see how their batsmen handle things. As it is, we are now up **** creek

Do you ever have anything constructive to say yourself? Or do you just like to concentrate on trying to have sarcastic digs at other people's posts all the time? Just wondered, as it pretty much seems to be all you do when you come on here.
-
Fair enough then, on the card front. I just remember that game and another harsh red card he gave last season at Dagenham or somewhere that's all. Hopefully those were one offs!
-
That's a very strange choice of official for this game, as rumour has it he has a soft spot for saints! I'm pretty sure he came on as substitute ref when we played cardiff at home in 06/07, and allowed a dubious goal of theirs to stand. Hopefully he will be impartial (as he should be) but something tells me he will go the other way, and give plenty of decisions to Orient just so that people don't pinpoint his location as to reasons why we would get any favourable decision. This was very much the feeling amongst us when he refereed the cardiff game towards the end. Also loves to get his cards out at every opportunity to show who's in charge. Was the ref when swansea had 3 sent off earlier on this season in the carling cup. This news doesn't fill me with much confidence to be honest. Fairly arrogant guy too from what i've heard, but then what ref's arent?
