Can't understand why everybody thought Lambert had such a bad game. He nearly won it for us, only a very good save from their keeper stopped a good shot from a difficult position. As always he did several clever flicks to put people in a good position.

I thought we were the better team and had far more chances. MP's substitutions worked really well. JWP looked real class when he came on. The Sunderland keeper made 3 or 4 very good saves. Another day we would have won that 3-1 or even 4-1.

Sunderland are very very poor. But yet again we seem to lack that vital final touch. We really can't afford to loose this with all the other results. However, a draw is even worse for Sunderland, so they must come at us a bit more second half. Happy with Saints team and would'nt change anything yet

Expanding our squad enough so that we can risk going after both cups. Hopefully also a top 10 finish

Yesterdays performance shows that he is a useful guy to have in the squad.

This is the game to win. If we loose this I dread home to Stoke. They will sit back let us press and then hit us on the break just like QPR & WBA did.

I think the "fizz" has gone out of playing Rickie deep and JRod further up. Wish I knew what to change (maybe MP does!)

Yes, certainly both games against Man U were great performances (yes I know we lost!)

With Gaston suspended, who should we play as our creative midfielder then?

I still think (fingers crossed) that we will stay up this year BUT What the last few matches have shown is that we have not the depth in the squad to improve next season without some serious additions in the summer (I also wonder if we should have added at least one player in January)

On a positive note if we play like we did away at Spurs & Swansea, I can see us getting at least a point agaist Sunderland.

Lallana's form for the nest 2 games is key. We need that spark of creativity in midfield, and with Gaston suspended he is the only guy that can do it I thought he had an on/off game today.

We played really well. Deserved a draw. I think all Saints players had a fair game. Guly played well. We didn't look so good once Adam went off. Lost that little creative touch. Away to Sunderland will be a massive gane now

I watched the video the other week with my saints supporting son 14. His main comment was "wow they had a lot of hair in those days dad"

Sunderland looked poor last night. A point against them will see us safe. Loose our last 3 and it might just be time to look out the old brown trousers.

Arsenal drawing makes our game a must win for Spuds if they want Champions League next season. They will really go for us.

Is Lambert fully fit?...Love him to bits but he has'nt looked his normal self last few games. Spurs will really want to win this. Jrod's pace on the break may be a key factor. Possible Mayuca on the subs bench as well. Clyne at left back & Richardson (is he fit?) at right back. Targett on the bench

I see that MP did'nt have Ward Prowse on the subs bench so no other suitable midfielderto bring on when he took Cork off

It will be interesting to see both the managers & teams reaction to this game. Away to Spuds will be interesting (and hopefully a better Saints performance)

Interesting MP's comment about bring Cork off because of risk of cards. At half time we could easily regrouped and won, instead we rediscovered what we learned at the start of the seaon, without Spiderman & Cork as defenceive midfielders in front of the back 4 we have a nasty habit of getting stuffed!
