  1. Thanks for this. I was sat in the Kingsland in line with the goal. When Rickie scored it my first reaction was "How the F*** did he get past all those Villa players" A truly great goal
  2. Thanks for the link
  3. Just been thro' the squad list. Interesting that Forte has been named. Any opinions as to why?
  4. I'm sure NC has a spreadsheet for the finances should we go down. Lets hope he dos'nt have to look at it
  5. I've taken my lad to see various teams over the years at St Mary's (he is 13 now). Cardiff, Barnsley, Tranmere Rovers, Norwich.......but now I am taking him to see Saints vs Man Utd................COYR! Not sure who is the most excited! I'm hoping to see Mayuka come on as a sub, put us 3-0 up and do a triple back flip right under Fergie's nose!
  6. Good Luck Every Baby is different. Let you & your wife find what your happiest with. The first few weeks are a bit bumpy with sleepless nights and PND but well worth it. I remember holding my oldest just after he was born, while they stitched my wife up. All I could think of was to rock him and sing "We are Southampton we are the best" 13 years down the line he's coming to St Mary's with me on Sunday
  7. Coming down from Kent with my 13yr old for this one. Tickets hav'nt come thro' post yet.........getting nervous Even tho' its a big day out I'd prefer a scruffy draw to wonderful loss like Man City
  8. A good signing, we desperatly need pace up front. We are allowed to name 7 on the bench I think so i can still see a role for Billy Sharp Ramirez + 1CB +1LB and I will be over the moon
  9. Glad to see that they won the play off final. They ran us so close last season. Pleased for their fans
  10. If WH win that Matt Philips & Tom Ince are likely to go If BP win then Vaz Te is likely to go. Thats the best way to look at the match IMHO
  11. Thanks DC You join the ranks of some great players who came to Saints at the end of their careers and did a job for us.
  12. Where & when was this taken?
  13. “However, there is still a lot to do before we get to that stage and we are not taking anything for granted. PKF will now work together with Portpin to finalise the business plan to satisfy the Football League that Portsmouth Football Club has a sustainable long term future. This is still likely to involve further cost-saving measures including player sales and the RENEGOTIATION OF CONTRACTS WITH THE TOP EARNERS to bring the club’s costs in line with the League One average. Portpin management and PKF have been working with the manager Michael Appleton to make preparations to ensure that the club is in the best possible position for the season ahead. Portpin has full trust in Michael’s ability to be a successful manager." Now how likely is that?
  14. Enjoyed watching that finish. Bring on next season
  15. I seem to remember NA signing a 4 year (?) contract this time last year. I know contracts often mean nothing in football. But I would guess it would cost NC a lot of money to change managers. Also, perhaps a not too comfortable relationship keeps everybody on their toes.
  16. Gosh.......thats a blast from the past. CM99/00. Used to play that while rocking my eldest son, who is 13 now (and a saints fan!)
  17. Well done Danny & Adam!
  18. yes..........it's a kind of pleasant anti-climax.
  19. I know absolutly nothing about what is going on. However, anybody who has ever tried to organise a works "do", will tell you that sometimes these things just don't happen because you can't get gaps in everybodies diarys. Either that or you leave several people behind which leads to the rumours of "Player X is leaving the club because he did'nt go to Vagas" wheras he had been to see the specialist to sort his toe out for next season.
  20. June 12......its our wedding aniversary. Dare not be checking my Blackberry for Saints news on that day!
  21. Watched a few WHU games in the last few weeks. Seems that sides recently seem to have an off day when they play them. Looks like big Sam's going to Wembley
  22. The BBc are not normally pro saints Made a nice change
  23. Respect to Coventry The first 10 mins it was brown trouser time Remember all those years inthe 80/90's when we both managed to survive against all the odds
