Relegation - What two teams do we take with us
Andrew Watson replied to Lee On Solent Saint's topic in The Saints
Bompey and Leeds. -
Back to reality with another no show performance, I said we would come bottom after Brighton game, we really are a poor side. As much as Bazanu was at fault with goal, what the hell was that useless individual Bednarek doing.
-
Good luck Ruben, should be an interesting ride to the end of the season.
-
Has to stay in charge to the end of the season and then review his position , is surely the right way to go.
-
Perhaps some on here will lay off the lad now, he is 20 years old and has playing behind some pretty bad back lines for most of the season.
-
saintant we have no one running the club who has the slightest idea about the football side of the club. Jason Wilcox played at the highest level, albeit 20 ish years ago, he has been at the best club in the country and has hopefully learnt a bit from the senior management along the way. Most importantly it would be very surprising if he does not have some pretty decent footballing contacts. Ankersen cannot and dare not fail again, he has three choices - 1 - Go down the metric/ stats route 2 - Speak to the only real football person at the club [ If he has not yet started at club, he surely has to speak to him 3 - Speak to football people outside club. If Ankersen has any sense it has to be 2 or 3 and will his ego let him speak to outside football people. I am not saying Wilcoxs input is going to be amazing, but it has to be the best option we currently have.
-
Surprised apart from saintant that no one has commented on this thread, we really need a proper football person like Wilcox to be involved in this. If someone mentioned Wilcox in another thread I have missed it, regarding this topic. After all we really need to come straight back up and are very unlikely to do so, unles we have the right person at the helm.Stating the obvious but very, very relevant.
-
We obviously cannot have another Ankersen based appointment. Hopefully Jason Wilcox will be involved in the choosing of the next manager, when it happens.
-
Thanks fellow fans, hope you all at least agree with the sentiment.

I cannot blame Jones for taking job, however the arrogant Dane and narcissistic manager have set us back years. Unless we do a Burnley, when will we come back up ? I really do dislike the pair of them equally and I have never met or seen either of them in person. They say you should never judge a book by its cover, the opposite is definately true of our egotistical, never wrong chairman. Very unhappy and disillusioned with the way the club is going. Us fans have an emotional bond with the club, this pair will never ever know what that means.

Marsch sacked at Leeds and our spineless board dither
Andrew Watson replied to Andrew Watson's topic in The Saints
Who ever Leeds go for they have given them selves a chance of staying up, which Marsch might have done any way. We are going down with a whimper and there are not enough words to describe how painful that will be. Having been a fan since 1963, I can still vividly remember the clubs two relegations from the top league. I have no confidence in the clowns who run the club, to get us back up any time soon. It is just so sad and demoralising, that it has come to this. I really do not think Ankersen, Semmens and co, have any idea how upset and angry many thousands of Saints fans really are and whats more they really do not care. It is just a job to them. -
The match is a side show and 3 points down the drain if Jones is still here. If a miracle happens and we get a win, he will be kept on to the detriment of picking up anything at Chelsea or Leeds.
-
Says it all really, what do our board really expect to happen by keeping Jones on. It will get more toxic each hour he is kept on. Will not be at Wolves game as I live in Cornwall now, but imagine the atmosphere will be beyond toxic, if Jones is still in charge.
-
That's the trouble when non football people run the club. We got away with Reed, Wilson and all in the past because we had enough decent players to keep us in the league. These two clowns have massive egos and have sold thousands of loyal fans down the river without a paddle. Quite a shock coming for SR in the championship, unless we miracuously do a Burnley and come straight back up, The stadium will look pretty empty with 20,000 or less for the first games of next season,
-
So far out of his depth, it is beyond a joke now. Everton beat Arsenal with Dyche, we get hammered by Brentford with Jones in charge. Being set up properly and every player giving their all is a given,we are the total opposite on both counts.
-
So,so predictable, get rid of Jones whilst we are still not too far adrift. A mate just texted me saying he watched online,he said so bad defensively it could have been far more.
-
It doe not matter a jot whether other teams have hard fixtures, because we are unlikely to get a result tomorrow with the eleven Jones probably starts with. Toney will think that it is his birthday and christmas all rolled into one.
-
Whats the betting questions will be vetted and the clowns in charge get a free ride.

Moved to Launceston, november 2021. -
36, after a longer think, my all time favourite is the last one in the entire list.
-
My fear as well Dave, last day panic buy, which considering the club have known we need a goal scorer for months, is totally incomprehensible.
-
Do not dislike Adams or Armstrong as people, but their lack of calm/ability in front of goal is beyond embarassing, along with the clowns who run this club.
