Social media is bad for you as everyone knows, but I am amused by the amount of posts by Portsmouth fans on every social media platform I’ve seen screaming about how fantastic their atmosphere is home and away, whilst also at the same time obsessively trashing the atmosphere or quality at Saints. What is it about these odd cunts that makes them so frenzied about trying to prove to the world of football that they are the best fans in the world? The way they kiss Millwall’s ringpieces is a sorry spectacle as well. Most saints fans I know are happy to admit that the atmosphere is often shite at our place, but I find it no worse than when I’ve been to Fratton in the away end with mate’s teams. Their old ground is always a a better conductor of atmosphere than a newer one like ours, but this relentless dribbling to anybody who’ll listen about how great their support is, is more desperate than it’s been for years since they got promoted.
