  1. Hit the nail on the head. England coaching isn’t at the forefront. We do have some very good technical players all the way down the pyramid. Imo coaching and FA are ignoring technical ability, they even closed the futsal program a couple of years ago. Feel for Southgate, but historical coaching programs and scouting needs a bit of a revisit for me.
  2. Sorry how Bellingham has kept his place is a mystery. The petulant 5 year old at the end. Sorry he isn’t the inly one but kept imo some good players out of the starting 11.
  3. Kind to have disagree on the most footballers have an ego thing. Plenty of grounded players, and in particular focused Strikers that go on what they do on the pitch. Plenty that ignore the noise, plus I’d want an out and out striker that is scoring every couple of games. Thats down to the DOF to put the right players together. Take the point need someone to stick it in the net, but would not want an egotistical player rocking the boat in the dressing room. That just causes a nightmare. I’m sure we can find the right player, I don’t know the attitude or the player, but the pool to fish in is pretty big over all the leagues including non league.
  4. Good chance of another Final. Need to pull the rabbit out of the hat against probably Spain though. IMO this tournament for every team is up there as one of the most boring, lack of any quality euros for a long time. Turkey, Austria, Georgia could come away pleased. Apart from that utter b?,.cks. I guess the record books won’t show that however, just whoever wins it. Come on England……….
  5. Failed to get in for them in a by-election in Kingswood Bristol a few months ago. Now turns up in Great Yarmouth. Nice to see he is committing to his local community again. 😂😂😂😂
  6. This has got a stubborn Southgate saying I know better than every England fan, every pundit, every sports journalist ect ect. Im Gareth Southgate and I know better than everyone. I need to protect my 5 million a year job, or what ever it is. He will be lucky to get an U7s village team after this. No disrespect to all those U7s teams as you can do a lot better than this !”@‘
  7. Wow, just wow…………………
  8. Just embarrassing from the English contingent. We have this to look forward to next season…………
  9. Man Utd probably won’t want him anymore after the display so far. Oh dear me if RM goes south in the first few weeks of the season, Ramus will be consulting his books and adding 2 and 2 together. Please no, don’t do it please..,,,,,,,,,, (Bookmark this as a hopeless comment when we win the Euros)
  10. Foden apparently on his way back………….,,,,,,,,😂
  11. I’m sorry but Bellingham, is not all that. He’s taking Fodens position and he’s also been sh?t Bellingham would be eaten alive in the Prem. Oh perhaps that’s why he has avoided the league…………. Just shows that the Prem is fantastic because it is full of international players and managers. English players under Southgate just can’t gel together. Need an English manager next, but can’t help feeling we need to go overseas to win anything. Don’t want that but English manager versus silverware is a big question. Just seen the changes, says it all change 1 position for the start of the game, and change it again at half time.
  12. We came into this worrying about our defence. They have been the best part of the team up to now including JP. Attack Midfield, wow. It’s like watching back side back side long wasted ball back short long wasted ball can’t pass. Im sorry can’t pick out individuals, not fair. But if I have to, Southgate, it can’t be the players. TBF the big guns haven’t exactly ripped up tree’s including England. Come up against Spain, we are fu?£ed on this performance.
  13. Sums up the standard of English officials from Prem to step 5-6 and beyond. Every league just shocking. His reaction was like a rabbit in the headlights, at least they have thrown away the chance of taking “control” in the next rounds. *I exclude kids and grass roots of course. But wouldn’t want the FA, PG and who ever involved in their future training.
  14. When we change manager, which always happens at some point. Please not Safegate……………………
  15. Not being negative but joint favs to win it. There is a bet of value somewhere in this competition…….
  16. It will be pristine when Germany play on it in a few days time 😂
  17. Here’s me thinking we would deliver this season………………. oh and post a decent results. Sorry taxi………………
  18. Lallana for me yes, as per his thread, and the reasons you give. Ings no for me, shown to many times he doesn’t have to much loyalty when something better comes along. This is the way of the world when you are climbing the ladder. But can’t see that is a quality on the way back down the ladder. Will always be looking for something better for me, let someone else have the baggage. Lallana has a different personality imo that could actually help us next season. Which for the reasons you quite rightly say.
  19. It’s bound to be only beneficial for the youngsters in the first team, and not forgetting 23s and younger. I’d take a good very professional experienced prem 36 something player all day long. This one just happens to know the club inside out,has a history and still must have a very special part in his heart. But genuinely think he can help RM with his knowledge of the club. A make weight if you like between the team and management, which is what we will need even more this coming season. Only positives imo, and can’t be taking too much from the wage kitty at his age. Financials probably doesn’t come into tbf for him or us.
  20. Dragon is a savvy media mogul that I guess understands that business more than most. I expect more trips and preseasons to Serbia and Eastern Europe to build the Saints name in the coming years. Expanding the fan base commercially on a pan European, global basis is where the income will be generated. Along with subscription services on TV mobile ect ect ect. We arent quite Man Utd status yet, but baby steps……….. St Mary’s in my humble opinion seems fit for purpose for the foreseeable. Team first.
  21. Makes you wonder how we didn’t win anything with that team 20 years ago. Wow, forget how good we were. Just needed a manager that has Southgate’s man management and media savvy, with anyone else’s football tactics and know how.
  22. To everyone’s point, I don’t think we will be a “fish out of water” next season. Some clever investment in the squad, the obvious commitment of funds and loyalty to the club by Dragon, should be ok. Never gonna win the league, decent run in one of the cups stay up and that would be a great season. My biggest concern next season is we start buggering about with managers and the slightest hint of issues like last time we were in the Prem. I have never been an admirer of RM, and thought we could do better. But stand corrected and hope we give the bloke a well deserved go. Hope we don’t do an Adkins at the first opportunity.
  23. According to Phil Thomas from that unbelievably reliable thrilling read in the Sun on Sunday. Like last season he is revelling in the fact he got right the 3 going up coming straight back down. He written off Saints Leicester and Ipswich off like we have all come up from the conference. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 What a plank……….
  24. Just brilliant, another load of so called experts cashing in on the gravy train. I remember when it was called reading the game, scanning and knowing where your team mate will be. Oh and passing to the bloke that normally finds the onion bag, or is that to simples. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
  25. This is the circle again, new ideology, new money new managers, the gen of players new ownerships as I said in a previous post a few days or so ago. Give it to him, chalk and cheese compared to the best welsh manager European football has ever seen. I have changed my mind from this time last season, held himself very well. Changing room cleverly believes, just need to be carful over the summer with incomings not rocking the boat. Fair play to him, but Adkins went double and lasted weeks on returning to the Prem. Having said that the old guard of managers are probably recognised as had their time now. Football is moving on like everything does. Im happy to get behind him, something I didn’t think I would, and not just because of promotion. He has definitely brought stability to us. Prem is a plus and a result of a job well done tbf.
