Great to get it all done early. The whole summer to sort it out. Great move imo, it feels right this one tbf. I hope I’m not eating my words come September……………

Only the owner knows. Still haven’t heard if we are genuinely up for sale.
-
Genuine question, was there ever any outcome to the White, Jordan thing on Talksport when it was suggested that we are up for sale. I can’t see many proper managers queuing up to take the job with a potential new owner yet again.

We would be mad not to bring Ralph back now he’s left Wolfsburg. That’s if he’s prepared to come to the funny farm. He would rock the Championship with a bit of financial support to rebuild. Unfortunately I think he’s too big a name and has far better clubs that would be in for him. Hurts like hell to say it, but we are sliding into the abyss until someone grabs us by the balls, (excuse the pun). In that I mean a proper Chairperson in control with a DOF and a top European league manager.

Wouldn’t be surprised if DS has had enough. Prem football now is funded by Countries or people of vast wealth, with Countries funding. Long gone are the days of a normal Billionaire buying a club as their play thing or hobby. FA Cup, League Cup probably the only return for your money these days, in the Prem.

MP, but that’s never going to happen in a million years. Joey Barton, and I’m not joking would shake things up big style and is what we need. Especially with the skates games. Was great for Bristol Rovers, even though he divided the fans. But long term not the way forward I know. I would love to see Joey have a go in the Championship with us. Ralph for me perfect sensible return. Calm knows what he is doing and the club, and refreshed. I hope we don’t go Rohl, Lampard, ect etc etc, just wrong choices again. I just know I am getting pelters for JB suggestion, but Championship football one season to get back up, teach SR a few home truths. A perfect fit ?

Give the bloke the Job…….

We don’t know what the squad will look like next season. So it’s got to be someone that can work with an existing team, or someone that brings in a new 11 with him. All that of course depends on the funding that’s available to completely rebuild or just tinker. That for me dictates what manager you bring in.

It’s always been the same question for owner's of football clubs. How do you make 100 million out of Football ? Start with 500 million……..
-
No, no Lego number 2. Why do we do this to ourselves………..

So glad to see we are setting are sights really high across all areas of the club. Im so looking forward to getting our Tipex Paint, or as I think it is now Virtual reality cup back in the coming seasons. Good on you Spoors., anticipating the next masterstroke. -
Has anyone phoned Ian Holloway yet. What a Job at Swindle. Mad as a box of frogs, just what we need right now.
-
I’m not holding back, I’m 💯 Joey Barton, you will fucking win…………

Someone that understands the opposition every week. Oh and isn’t afraid of playing a simple 4-4-2 every now and again.
-
I understand he has always wanted the job the last few times it’s come up. Living in London the commute isn’t out of the way. Need some pedigree now. We can’t carry on experimenting. Seems a genuine shout, if he still wants it though.

Just a succession of managers that just don’t fit, both club and playing squad. We have some shit players but is that in the head, wrong tactics crap training schedule. Got no idea, but you don’t get to Prem or Champ without some abilities. Same with managers. You don’t get to manage Prem, Champ without some ideas. We are missing some kind of values, pathway, understanding, whatever it is. I haven’t heard the phrase “The Southampton Way” for a while. Seemed to have worked for ML, NC. Need some clever “moneyball” tactics like our friends down the coast and I guess those other ones in the smoke.
-
We will do a Stoke, or like a number of teams if we aren’t careful. Too long in the Championship, and it almost becomes impossible to get back I think. I don’t follow the academy like I used to. But surely there are some nuggets in there we can now chuck in and let them get minutes in readiness for next season. If not what’s the point, someone with more knowledge than me on the youngsters I guess will know.
-
My mistake with my last couple of words, I knew that re reading it, and I hope I’m forgiven. ML and NC knew what they were doing. I would love both of them back. Maybe I’m just a romanticist.

This might be unpopular I know. But from my time in little shorts watching Lawrie’s team until now. The best this club has been run is in the hands of ML and NC. God Bless Marcus, and I would take Nicola back in a heartbeat.

Didn’t want to join the bias official thing. But f!?k sake, this ref is wearing a red shirt. Either that or he’s have tea and getting dropped off outside his front door later tonight….,,,

A real shame that we didn’t get rid of RM probably as everyone seems to agree after the Bournemouth game. Makes me think taking a gamble on Championship, L1,L2 managers at Prem level just never works. Impacts managers who want to progress, but I think you have to manage in the top leagues in Europe, not talking just talking about the obvious leagues, but Eastern European, Greek, Turkish ect ect
-
Never know. Utd turn up for the big games as per the last couple, probably think this is in the bag before kicking a ball. IJ is trying his best to polish a turd from what I can see. Come away with a draw, will help move on some players and make us a potentially good club for other players to come to next season. It does help playing for a manager that isn’t from the youth team, League 1,2 Championship. If he stays of course.

I guess it’s like any other business. Short, Medium, Long Term Business Plan. I just think the short term plan has backfired spectacularly. I genuinely don’t worry about our long term future, as we have come through the Rupert era (Twice) Untimely passing of Marcus being not only devastating for his family but for us as a club. We are a very big club that would interest a lot of potential investors as a ticket for Prem football. I guess our biggest problem will be a as a bottom end Champ club. Or dropping further where attracting staff to get back to the Prem, Champ becomes very very difficult. That’s the Medium term issue.
