I don’t want another manager change either. It is painful for the club & players to keep swapping manager. But Martin isn’t cutting it so far. Bad performance after bad performance, being bailed out by the PL quality players that we retained. He probably still deserves a bit more time but I hope he is under some pressure internally. Performances are not good enough.

As shit as they all are, it’s the system. Even Haaland or prime shearer wouldn’t get a look in plying with these tactics. How many dangerous balls do we play in? How many counter attacks do we have? Fuck all. We dick about in midfield, meanwhile the opposition sets up into a nice 11 man defensive block and easily cancels out any attacks. The manager is making us worse than the sum of our parts. We cant defend very well, and we can’t attack very well, despite having some of the best players in the division.

The teams that get promoted from this league battle hard, do the basics well & look solid defensively. You then need a player or two with good finishing skills to put away any chances which come your way. We do literally none of those things. It worries me that it was Jack Stephens that had to instil some discipline. Isn’t that literally the managers job?

Can someone please ask why we never counter attack or try and catch teams on the break? We let teams re-set and get back defensively, meaning it’s impossible to break them down

Yes. This squad should be challenging for autos alongside Leicester, Ipswich and Leeds. If Warnock or someone more experienced & pragmatic was in charge, we’d be in the hunt for the autos right now. Many of the games we have lost so far have been because we are trying to play propaganda football and getting the basics wrong.
