Louisiana "Castle Doctrine ("Shoot the Burglar" and "Shoot the Car Jacker" laws) as writen.....I particularly like the bits in bold §19. Use of force or violence in defense A. The use of force or violence upon the person of another is justifiable when committed for the purpose of preventing a forcible offense against the person or a forcible offense or trespass against property in a person's lawful possession, provided that the force or violence used must be reasonable and apparently necessary to prevent such offense, and that this Section shall not apply where the force or violence results in a homicide. B. For the purposes of this Section, there shall be a presumption that a person lawfully inside a dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle held a reasonable belief that the use of force or violence was necessary to prevent unlawful entry thereto, or to compel an unlawful intruder to leave the premises or motor vehicle, if both of the following occur: (1) The person against whom the force or violence was used was in the process of unlawfully and forcibly entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle. (2) The person who used force or violence knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry was occurring or had occurred. C. A person who is not engaged in unlawful activity and who is in a place where he or she has a right to be shall have no duty to retreat before using force or violence as provided for in this Section and may stand his or her ground and meet force with force. D. No finder of fact shall be permitted to consider the possibility of retreat as a factor in determining whether or not the person who used force or violence in defense of his person or property had a reasonable belief that force or violence was reasonable and apparently necessary to prevent a forcible offense or to prevent the unlawful entry. Acts 2006, No. 141, §1. §20. Justifiable homicide A. A homicide is justifiable: (1) When committed in self-defense by one who reasonably believes that he is in imminent danger of losing his life or receiving great bodily harm and that the killing is necessary to save himself from that danger. (2) When committed for the purpose of preventing a violent or forcible felony involving danger to life or of great bodily harm by one who reasonably believes that such an offense is about to be committed and that such action is necessary for its prevention. The circumstances must be sufficient to excite the fear of a reasonable person that there would be serious danger to his own life or person if he attempted to prevent the felony without the killing. (3) When committed against a person whom one reasonably believes to be likely to use any unlawful force against a person present in a dwelling or a place of business, or when committed against a person whom one reasonably believes is attempting to use any unlawful force against a person present in a motor vehicle as defined in R.S. 32:1(40), while committing or attempting to commit a burglary or robbery of such dwelling, business, or motor vehicle. (4)(a) When committed by a person lawfully inside a dwelling, a place of business, or a motor vehicle as defined in R.S. 32:1(40), against a person who is attempting to make an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, or who has made an unlawful entry into the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle, and the person committing the homicide reasonably believes that the use of deadly force is necessary to prevent the entry or to compel the intruder to leave the premises or motor vehicle. (b) The provisions of this Paragraph shall not apply when the person committing the homicide is engaged, at the time of the homicide, in the acquisition of, the distribution of, or possession of, with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance in violation of the provisions of the Uniform Controlled Dangerous Substances Law. B. For the purposes of this Section, there shall be a presumption that a person lawfully inside a dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle held a reasonable belief that the use of deadly force was necessary to prevent unlawful entry thereto, or to compel an unlawful intruder to leave the premises or motor vehicle, if both of the following occur: (1) The person against whom deadly force was used was in the process of unlawfully and forcibly entering or had unlawfully and forcibly entered the dwelling, place of business, or motor vehicle. (2) The person who used deadly force knew or had reason to believe that an unlawful and forcible entry was occurring or had occurred. C. A person who is not engaged in unlawful activity and who is in a place where he or she has a right to be shall have no duty to retreat before using deadly force as provided for in this Section, and may stand his or her ground and meet force with force. D. No finder of fact shall be permitted to consider the possibility of retreat as a factor in determining whether or not the person who used deadly force had a reasonable belief that deadly force was reasonable and apparently necessary to prevent a violent or forcible felony involving life or great bodily harm or to prevent the unlawful entry. Added by Acts 1976, No. 655, §1. Amended by Acts 1977, No. 392, §1; Acts 1983, No. 234, §1; Acts 1993, No. 516, §1; Acts 1997, No. 1378, §1; Acts 2003, No. 660, §1; Acts 2006, No. 141, §1. §2800.19. B. The court shall award reasonable attorney fees, court costs, compensation for loss of income, and all expenses to the defendant in any civil action if the court finds that the defendant is immune from suit in accordance with Subsection A of this Section. Acts 2006, No. 786, §1. Basically, Over here in Who Dat Land......the bad guys are ****ed! -
Well they say a picture is worth a thousand words... "In a fervid, emotionally charged Super Dome, the New Orleans Saints chewed up, spit out, and danced on the remains of the Arizona Cardinals. It was a certified ass whoopin' and it was a long time coming. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/shaneika-dabney/saints-vs-cardinals-playo_b_426252.html "They decimated the Arizona Cardinals with a 45-14 rout that validated everything they had accomplished in the first 13 games of this season, the greatest in franchise history. DEUUUUUUUCCCCCCEEEEE!!!! omg ...We just re signed Deuce!.....Un freaking believable! First, we pull ex Saint Mike Mckenzie off the street to play against the Patriots and now re sign Saints legend Deuce McAllister for the play offs, both will now get Super Bowl rings if we go all the way...how classy is that? New Orleans has been in melt down since the news was announced at noon today....heh, all the local radio and tv stations changed their local programing to cover the news for the rest of the day...Even Joe Bidens visit was blacked out to make room for Deuce Looks like he won't be playing tommorow but could be ready for the NFC CG next week if we beat the Cards This guy is a total ...this is like Southampton re signing Matty to take a penalty in a play off penalty shoot out to get to the prem! For anyone watching the game tomorrow (today)....The crowd's not boooing...We're shouting DEEEUUUUUUUUUCCCCEEEEE!!! Only 18 hours to go ....can't wait! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=evf2z_gFY_g&feature=player_embedded WHO DAT!!!

Yes it is....Apart from a few seriously dodgy areas, I can pretty much leave my truck unlocked anywhere around town even with gear in the bed and 'know' it will all still be there when I get back. Thats something peeps in the UK can only dream about these days.....Hell, the same can be said for my house....Leaving the back door unlocked or a window open isn't going to be some kind of 'invitation' for some scum bag to come help them selves....They know they probably wouldn't get out alive....and if they did...they'll be going to jail.....Roll your eyes all you want, but can you say the same?...nope didn't think so....good luck with your belief in allowing the criminals the upper hand, I can see it's working well for you.
-
Y'know car jacking and theft used to be rife in New Orleans...Until the State changed the law and made your vehicle an extension of your home.....Now in Louisiana, you can shoot on sight any would be car jacker/thief Car jacking/theft all but ended over night.......Go figure

Is it Saturday yet?, God Damit!!! Man, Its been forever since the Saints played a meaningful game!...All this resting and healing up is driving me crazy!.....good to know the team are feeling the same....they're like like tightly coiled springs just waiting to explode at the mo.... I almost feel sorry for the Cardinals coming into the Dome on Saturday. This game has 'Give Away/Take Away' ratio written all over it....Who ever wins that battle will be playing in the NFCCG the following week and Greg Williams is salivating at having his full and fit 'Take Away monster' back in action after all the injuries during the latter part of the season.....I'm reckoning on at least 2 touchdowns from turnovers and 4 from Drew...so 42 - 21 to the Who Dats ....'Hyped' is not the word....It's waaaay bigger than that........Expect to see Kurt Warner spending a lot of time on his butt with cotton wool in his bleeding ears!

TBF, the few of us that asked questions about 'Mike' were put on the ducking stool by you and and the rest of the pitch fork brigade

He's actually pretty much spot on I, also spent a fair bit of time in East Germany and to a lesser degree Russia in the late 70's and apart from the 'freedom to travel', there really ain't much difference to modern Britain.....and even your freedom to travel is slowly being eroded under the guise of climate change.....Trust me, give it a few years and you'll be having to apply to the Government for permission to travel beyond your allocated miles...or it will cost you a total fortune....result will be still the same In the Eastern Block, 'control' was achieved with a near overnight in your face hammer blow, everyone could see it but could do nothing about it...In Britain, the same result has been achieved by very a very subtle 'creep' over a prolonged period of time....So much so that many didnt even notice. Some peeps over there have my sympathy you really do...The rest of you deserve what you've bought upon yourselves My only advise is to get out while you can......Now there's been a generation or so that's been born into the system, they know no different...What you have now is 'normal' to them and they're only likely to take things to the next level....There ain't no going back
-
Hell yeah...I even learnt the words to

Benjamin Franklin said it best......Has served the people of the US well for several hundred years "Those who would give up Essential Liberty to purchase a little Temporary Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety." Britons would do well to take note, IMO

heh Rut.....the term "Who Dat" is as Southern as Red beans and rice, Jambalaya, Crawfish Gumbo and "y'mom an em" Its been in the vocabulary around here for a hundred years and more and some peeps have been using it in relation to the Saints, all be in a lesser degree pretty much since the teams inception....Hell, you can still find the odd bit of Who Dat memorabilia floating around that's at least from the 70's...Who Dat beer, T shirts and towels and stuff By all accounts the Bengals ripped it off and adapted it to "Who Dey" in the early 80's and due to their success at the time made better use of it Peeps around these parts don't really care that much either way ...But the Bengals claim to owning the 'copyright' always raises a smile....ney, more a bellow of laughter It's easy to tell the original 'quality product' from the cheap rip off', just think to your self and then "Who Dey think dey going to beat dem Bengals" ....nuff said Oh, and welcome to the 'Who Dat Nation', all be it temporaly.....enjoy your stay heh, Some Saints fans just paid to have this put up on a electronic roadside Bill Board in Downtown New Orleans, I drove past it earlier this evening, it looks unbelievably awesome looks like this at night Born In The 80s...TBH I'm not to worried to much about how we ended the season...The Cowboys game was a surprise and a shock I'll admit...I really didn't see that coming. The Bucks game was as much a case of the Saints taking their foot off the peddle as anything and the Panthers game really doesn't count, except an entry in the stat book.... Most of our starters didn't play at all in that game, while some played for the first half and only a handful played the whole game...Coach Payton used that game mainly as an opportunity to work on some area's that needed some attention...he said post game he was happy with what was achieved so thats good enough for me Injuries to some key players had us struggling a bit towards the end of the regular season...Our secondary was so beat up we had even run out of backup players and were playing a rookie, and players we picked up off the street, including ex Saint Mike Mackenzie who was tailgating and watching the game in the stands a week or so before the Pats game The huge weakness in the secondary upset the balance of the defense big time and led to needing a lot more coverage at the back, which in turn reduced our aggressiveness at the front. which was one of our strong points in the first half of the season. The good news is tho......We should have everyone bar Charles Grant rested and healthy for our first Playoff game on the 16th....sure, we lost some momentum...but the best momentum is a 21 point lead Can't wait My NFC Playoff predictions .......Week 1 ...........................Week 2......................Week 3......................Mardi Gras Super Bowl Cowboys beat Eagles.........Vikings beat Cowboys .........................................................................Saints beat Vikings.............Saints beat Chargers .....BIG Party! Cardinals beat Packers........Saints beat Cardinals ....... A man went to the Atlanta Falcons ticket office to purchase play-off tickets. The teller says there weren't any tickets for sale because the Falcons didn't make the play-offs. The next day the same man goes back to the ticket office to purchase Falcons play-off tickets. The teller politely says there weren't any tickets for sale because the Falcons didn't make the play-offs. This goes on for an entire week. Another week of this goes by and the man still is asking the teller about Falcons play-off tickets. Finally the teller in a loud voice says, "I'VE TOLD YOU FOR THE LAST 2 WEEKS THERE WASN'T ANY TICKETS AVAILABLE BECAUSE THE FALCONS DID NOT MAKE THE PLAY-OFFS!" The man replied, "I know. I drive all the way from New Orleans just to hear you say that! " ............................. WHO DAT!!!!

"No one ever said that Lung Cancer can cause smoking" lol....These two vids are must see ...Take note of the painting at the begining of the first vid.....There's a lot of peeps from here in there LOL. Hell, it even has some of us peering through the window

Erm, no you didn't...... you said........ the rest of the world warming up, would make the UK colder....Look i have it here......Originally Posted by Thorpe-le-Saint Are you even sure you understand global warming? It has the OPPOSITE affect to 'what it says on the tin'. For example, the UK can expect many more freezing winters because as the world warms up from man made global warming, the ice caps melt. This in turn releases more fresh water into the sea which has/is/will continue to have an adverse effect on the gulf stream (which is what currently keeps Britain mild). I mearly pointed out to you that other places were cold too.....despite the fact that according to you, they're s'posed to be warm for the UK to be cold. You really should pay more attention....you'll never get out of the stupid club at this rate Thats a great vid Saint in Paradise ......Difficult to argue with John Coleman...he's been right about all things climate related for many years....Shame some of the alarmist's can't peer above thier comfy blankets for 3 m
-
Oh yeah?....well in case you haven't noticed, there's a bit more to 'Global' than little 'ole England......So maybe you can find a theory to explain this then...http://mapcenter.hamweather.com/records/7day/us.html?c=maxtemp,mintemp,lowmax,highmin,snow Hell, we even had a freeze in New Orleans last night!....Man, if this continues i might have to think about lagging my water pipes. Of course, we all know that not a single winter maketh a climate....but hey, this cold weather's starting to become a little repetitive over the last few years......just sayin..... Interesting that the BBC and the other Climate Commies scream and shout from the roof tops about AGW everytime there's a warm day, but they stfu about it during the cold spells.....anyone else noticed that? Oh, talking of the BBC....http://www.guardian.co.uk/media/2010/jan/06/bbc-trust-science-impartiality-review Oh and Mr Mann too http://wattsupwiththat.com/2010/01/06/climategate-michael-manns-very-unhappy-new-year/#more-14888 LOL...starting to get a little 'hot' in the Climate Kitchen......lots and lots and lots more of this to come, as the Climate fraudsters start to get held accountable for their various misuses of public funds around the world.....Some of us want our money back! Happy days
-
Erm.....Sorry to disappoint, but Who Dat 'Second and third string' lost today in a meaningless game that didn't even warrant anything more than a run out for a couple of first team players who were coming off of injuries.......Hell even Drew Brees didn't start. Meaningless game for both teams.....Coach Payton went into the game wanting to learn something about one or two areas and that mission was accomplished. 13 - 3........Bring on the Play Offs WHO DAT!!!
-
Heh that's done it now...I'm soooo upset i'm gunna cry......Enjoy busting your blood vessels in bitter rage and hatred as we win our two post season games on our way to the Super Bowl ......But welcome to the Great Sport of American Football non the less .....Hope you enjoy the experience....As long as you can Stomach thought of the Saints as Super Bowl Champions As for me.....I'm with the rest of the Who Dat Nation.....Win or Lose, we'll be partying either way...Just a little harder if we win ....Well as the Super Bowl is right at the start of Mardi Gras this year....Make that a 'lot' harder, in fact make that an insanely amount harder Oh and ...Man, December 30, 2000 is still celebrated around these parts, like it was yesterday And Rut....yeah that was an awesome game on Monday night...i couldn't believe the Bears could find that much in them considering they had nothing to play for.....Just goes to show....."Any given Sunday" The local radio talk radio station here, WWL usually dedicates the whole day to the Saints the day after a game ....heh....On Tuesday, they even dedicated the whole day to Saints talk after the Bears/Vikings game on Monday night WHO DAT!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pnuhrpmL9HY&feature=related

Yes it does...Sorry but 'No one' made you, or the 'UK' the Datum for which Countries around the World establish their criteria for right and wrong.....Sure, there's been some common influences over the years...Christianity and the English Magna Carta along with one or two other historical influences in the development of a more internationally acceptable set of common Laws and values, and more recently the UN have had a hand in trying to play God........But at the end of the day if any given Country decides something to be right or wrong...Then it's exactly that..... You can only judge from your own postion...but you are wrongly assuming your's to be the defacto right one. In fact I'd go so far to say that 'modern' British value's have drifted so far from the 'norm' of 'most' other civilised Countries, Brits would be the last peeps anyone would listen to, when it came to lectures on right or wrong.....Britain's tough stance on pettiness and complete capitulation to real crime has become quite a curiosity talking point around the World.....That's maybe why the World wide respect and standing that Britain once had, has long gone....
