  1. Almost makes you want to cry...
  2. https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/politics/migration-record-ons-visa-rules-b2867275.html "In the three years between the end of 2021 and the end of 2024, 344,000 more Britons are believed to have emigrated than the original estimate indicated, after the Office for National Statistics (ONS) updated its methodology."
  3. I'm thinking about leaving the country for a few years using my second passport. However it's not because Labour are in power, it's because of the cunts that live in this country and the potential for those cunts to be in charge at the next election.
  4. The issue tends to be volatility that means companies increase prices more than they realistically should and don't like to hedge at those rates. With slower rises (and a very small rise this month) it allows businesses to hedge at lower costs over the next 6 months, which should lead to slightly lower logistics prices.
  5. Good to see inflation falling, due to a reduction in energy prices. As said before, not really influenced much by government policy (unless it's a batshit mental policy), but good all the same: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/c07m4mx5759t In theory food prices should reduce slightly next time due to the lag time taking effect between energy prices and imports/logistics.
  6. Yep, I agree, they'll all rank.
  7. No, it was on the players sides.
  8. I don't want them BTW, I'm just saying that's who the left of the party are likely to go with.
  9. People aren't voting Reform for their economic policies though, are they? If this looks like it may work (and the proof is in the pudding) then it will rid us of the chance that Reform could win. Will also push the Tories to get rid of Kemi. By the way, you're saying that Starmer and Reeves are not trying to get things done - they're not independent of each other, IE. All changes have to go through Starmer anyway (and Reeves a lot of the time).
  10. So, as I said in the Summer he was all set to stay and then "something" happened, and he was off. I don't know why, but my mate said that he was told he wasn't moving, until ever so quickly he wanted out ASAP. It was literally overnight. Same with Fernandes by the way.
  11. Rayner, Burnham or Milliband I would go with - outside bet of Lisa Nandy as well.
  12. That makes sense - this destroys Reform and their voter base, and places their voter base back with the Tories. Clever play all round as screws the left or Labour as well.
  13. Reeves has no chance. No-one wants her in charge.
  14. Exactly, we need pragmatism and an acceptance that centrist policies are the only ones that will realistically work (and be accepted). If they want to jump ship then let them - do we have any idea how many sit under that banner?
  15. No, and I don't think it should be, but it is clearly something that he suffers with and it impacts him. I don't think what you said is controversial at all.
  16. I didn't see that, as I said exactly the same thing and wasn't roasted by any means.
  17. What about the other article? It's a poll of 511 millionaires, so is as fact as your article.
  18. But the earlier story you posted was from the Telegraph, so is that also valueless then? I also suggest you read the other article.
  19. You're turning into East End Nic more and more every day... "The poll was conducted by Survation. It surveyed 511 millionaires living in the UK via online interview. The sample size reflects the small section of society that has been targeted. Nationally representative surveys of 2,000 respondents in size are used to gauge the attitudes of the full UK adult population, therefore 511 people is a sufficient sample for the size of this audience."
  20. Professor Trevor Williams, chairman and co-founder at FXGuard and former chief economist at Lloyds Bank commercial banking, highlighted that the UK’s economy has performed poorly over the past decade and said it is the only nation in world’s 10 wealthiest countries (W10) that has seen negative millionaire growth. He said: “Since 2014, the number of resident millionaires in the UK dropped by 9% compared with the W10’s global average growth of +40%. Over the same period, the US saw a 78% increase in millionaires – the fastest wealth growth among the W10.” Beyond higher taxes, Williams adds that Brexit has made the UK less attractive for wealthy individuals. He said: “The UK’s attractiveness to the wealthy has also been eroded by the loss of some Euroclear activities since Brexit, leading to a shift elsewhere of market participants and capital. “Furthermore, the UK has not rolled back financial regulation, which was anticipated by many when it left the EU’s single market and customs union. Instead, in a move widely criticised, the government shut down the UK Tier 1 Immigrant Investor Program in 2022, thereby eliminating an entry point for millionaires. This is in strong contrast to many other countries that have been acting to attract wealthy individuals.”
  21. Some interesting articles on millionaires leaving the UK: https://theconversation.com/millionaires-may-not-be-fleeing-the-uk-in-droves-but-there-are-reasons-these-stories-persist-259591 https://patrioticmillionaires.uk/latest-news/uk-millionaire-poll-2025
  22. He also doesn't answer any questions, just posts articles without reading them and then thinks they back up his opinions, which most of the time they don't.
  23. But what does leaving the ECHR enable us to do?
  24. What I find so funny about all these stories is that they are stories of people, 18 months into a Labour Government, planning to leave. Personally, I'd like to see stories of people who HAVE left - wealth creators who have left and moved their businesses, rather than bankers and CEOs who just want to work and pay no income tax.
