  1. Magic of the Cup.
  2. Just looking back at it now. Christ it sounds good: https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/election-2019-50501411 Can't imagine many people would disagree with many of these now! If only McDonnell and Corbyn had floppy hair, spoke like a posh toddler from Middle Earth, and got women pregnant just by looking at them.
  3. Was Starmer disingenuous then as well, or were you all sycophantically praising his every move because he faked to be interested? There is nothing in the World that would make me want to vote Tory at the next election. That doesn't mean Starmer is any good though. The worst thing is, if you look back at the 2019 election, Corbyn's policy make sense now. It's a shame, but I think for the good of the country Corbyn would be better than Starmer. Plus I bet he wouldn't be supporting the crimes going on in Gaza atm.
  4. Don't disagree with what either of you are saying, it's just sad times at the moment and the country needs a proper reset. It's the only way to be able to "make Brexit work" (if it can, which we all know is rather pie in the sky).
  5. Do you think he's a decent person? Personally pre-Gaza I was hopeful, although a number of policies that the Tories were putting in (right to protest etc) he said he WASN'T looking to reverse. I now look at his reluctance to call out war crimes in Gaza (versus his very quick accusations of the Russian's) and that makes me start to feel very nervous that he is just Tory light. This country needs a proper change. Investment in infrastructure - re-nationalising power, water and Royal Mail. It needs a proper top-down analysis of the NHS to understand how to make it a workable system. We need joint up thinking when it comes to house building, and the need for more social housing. There needs to be an increase of pay for nurses, doctors and dentists, to ensure we can bring in/train up the amount of workers we need. It will take money, but the tax system needs an overhaul anyway. We need a full on step change, but every sector has to help to feed into the next (for example housebuilding/planning permission and energy creation for the grid). I'm just worried that Starmer will not do what is needed.
  6. I don't think anyone should ever boast about working for the CPS, they've been a fucking shambles for 40 years.
  7. So with the price of second hand petrol cars increasing, and electric cars plummeting, (2020 iPace for circa £20k, Model 3 £18k, Etron and EQC around £25k) is it now worth it to purchase these cars. We need a "local" car to replace our 150k mile Disco 4, and we also have solar panels, so was thinking about it now the prices have dropped so much. Any EV owners have any interesting insights into this?
  8. Surely @Turkish @COT I have now proven myself as a reliable source for the Circle of Trust... https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/68078714
  9. Nah mate, he's gash.
  10. Fine, then yeah, if we don't go up we don't have as much chance of getting promoted next year as we'll have less money. Sorry, I didn't realise you were confirming something so bleeding obvious, and dressing it up as being ITK.
  11. I will find out, although I believe it has been delayed as other irons are in the fire.
  12. He's insinuating that we will be in big FFP financial trouble if the club doesn't get promotion. Again, that's not true, as we would sell and reduce spending. The huge amount we sold in the Summer made sure that we won't have that much of an issue next season (we can make a loss of £83m this season (over 3 years), £61m next or something like that). Our losses will be nowhere near that.
  13. That's not exactly true though, is it?
  14. Medical incoming...
  15. This was the drum I was banging all off-season when fans were getting restless on sales and not bringing in many perms. It is genuinely crippling if you get relegated (and you spent a lot the season before).
  16. We are playing some incredible stuff - that 4th goal, one touch passing was sublime. It's also interesting hearing other fans talking about us - they are in awe, as we should be. We're really fucking good guys.
  17. Considering the recent success in the transfer market, not sure I agree...
  18. We didn't want Piroe - RM said early in the window that he was too similar to AA. A lot of posters on here seem to ignore this over and over again.
  19. It's only hindsight if you didn't call it at the time. I am also calling DB a bust as well. He's nowhere near the player he was.
  20. But if they're not very good, and get game time ahead of better players, surely that's a good thing to let our rivals have them?
  21. I think a lot of Leeds fans are gutted they pipped us to him as well - very underwhelmed with his contribution.
  22. STAGGERING, mate. I agree.
  23. I saw you put it on Linked-In.
  24. Who's he play for?
  25. Some people just don't want the inside scoop - they like to be surprised.
