I think the question really is "Does having an agenda make a poll less valid as long as it is not doctored? The poll subject will be leftist, but that's it.

We have a very large property with 9 inch non-cavity walls and 3 meter ceilings. Downstairs we dug out the floor and put in underfloor heating, but upstairs we have rads - although not a lot and quite small. For us to get proper use of an ASHP we'd need to increase the size of the radiators to ridiculous levels.

Unfortunately our place, being a 250 year old farmhouse, is not suitable for them. However, we do have 16KW of solar panels and a 20kw battery which means in the Summer our bills are about £9 a month with our buy back tariff.

So I spoke to one of my friends, who was a senior VP at a large retail company. He joined in April, and has unfortunately lost his job 2 weeks ago as part of a huge re-structure. His home that was part of his package has been taken away, because as you can probably imagine labour rights are non-existent out there. Apparently there are massive issues out there currently as the number of ex-pats outweigh the number of jobs, and people are moving without properly understanding the cost of living and all the additional costs with regards accomodation. Heat in the Summer is unbearable, and where his wife and newborn are over there on maternity she was pretty much housebound for 4 months last year. With regards how Dubai is right now, he said it's just really odd. Nobody knows what to really do so they're staying inside for the time-being. Loads of noise constantly overhead, but nothing too bad as of yet. He's coming back as soon as he can, unsurprisingly.
