  1. The same as when people shout "Death to America" that's also not anti-Semitism even though they have the largest Jewish population in the world. I wish people wouldn't conflate the Jewish/Israel thing. It may have been a big deal in the past for the older generations, but it really isn't a huge thing now, especially for younger people. What young people don't want to see is senseless killing of innocent men, women and children. This is where the IDF come in because they have been very liberal in how they have decided to wage their war.
  2. Israeli's.
  3. Did a good version of Nothing Else Matters with Metallica as well. Considering she has a serious illness that attacks her vocal chords (Reinke's edema) she has changed her sound to deal with that. She's aware how she went off the rails as well...
  4. Biometrics yes (to aid with the reduction in fake IDs), employment yes, - the rest I would say no. You increase penalties to those giving cash in hand employment, and you make it a pre-requisite for anyone renting a house (especially HMOs). Again, very large penalties if these checks are not correctly made and logged. It only has to make it more difficult to work cash in hand, rather than work in 100% of cases, to reduce the amount of people who will make that trip.
  5. Sorry, I misread your previous post - so Blair was seriously wanting to collect that data from an ID card? How would that even be possible unless it was linked to spending? I agree that should definitely be out of scope. However, you realise they can already get hold of that data via your mobile phone, so it doesn't really matter, they'd just access it a different way.
  6. You didn't give me any data points though? I can't see that the Government will need any additional data to what they have now, that's why - so that's why I was asking what additional data you think they'd need. You can't come up with any, so my assumption is that you are happy with the amount of data staying at it's status quo? Yeah, it is your choice to have a mobile phone, but making a song and dance about a Government having data on you and then owning any of those phones is like complaining about illegal immigrants whilst driving them from Calais in the back of your lorry.
  7. No, but neither do you. Probably nothing they don't already have. I assume you run either Android or Apple. If you have either, you have FAR more to worry about than a poxy ID card.
  8. Ok, so you state data as an issue but I'm actual fact it is expansion of data that you are so scared of, so if it was made clear that this data couldn't be expanded you'd be happy with it from a data point of view? Can I ask what mobile phone you use please (I am sure you can see where my problem is here)?
  9. Sorry, no real tone intended, but I am very interested to know what data you are not comfortable with the Government having that will come about from introducing ID cards?
  10. I thought one of the main gripes about illegal immigrants was that they come over here, are given free homes and live off benefits? That's what it seems the vast majority of the public have an issue with.
  11. But it's the ones that get lost and work cash in hand that are the issues, not those with a NI number. I assume that you're not going to name the data points you don't want the government to have? Considering that you've mentioned it multiple times, I would have thought you'd have something that you don't want the government to have.
  12. Agreed on ORod - she has a proper strong "fuck you" attitude as well - strong female role model in my eyes (my 12 year old is a big fan). Some of her songs aren't too bad either.
  13. Again, what additional data? The problem is if you have loads of undocumented people in a country, how do you document them without something like this?
  14. But what data are you scared of them having that they don't already have? This is one of those things I just can't get my head around.
  15. What additional data would be on the ID Card though? I also assume you take your driving license with you?
  16. Agreed, and yet they do. It's the usuals as well - the ones that really hate immigration...
  17. Bit harsh...he loves rock music. This was his second gig (first was Australian Pink Floyd). Next one he wants to do is AC/DC so will see what can I do for their next tour.
  18. I know, I said it tongue in cheek. Good old Bruce...
  19. Nobody wants the boats, but you also have to be proportional and invest in ways of getting them processed and back out of the country ASAP. ID cards would help, as would cashless society, but neither are acceptable.
  20. Took my 8 year old to go see Iron Maiden last night in London - 50 years of Maiden. Would have been a good one for the legends slot...
  21. Gullible twats. I do worry for those in this country, but as soon as I have the opportunity (not now due to family reasons) I will be moving me and my kids to a country where 50% of the country have to try 3 times to put their underwear on correctly every morning.
  22. To be fair unless we see anything radical, which is what I wanted under Labour, it is rather predictable. This country has gone to the dogs because we allowed racist mouth-breathers who don't and have never properly contributed to the productivity or prosperity of the country to decide the most important political moment in the country's history. We'll never recover properly and unless we do something very differently (and take note Reform, I don't mean your daft 1970's policies) we'll be in the same position in 4 more years, taxing the middle earners to the hilt and letting the rich get away with murder.
  23. People hated Boris because of his corruption. He was always goes to flip-flop, or wiff-waff on policies because that's part of who he is (and he did also have to deal with COVID). People hate Trump because he's a bi-polar moron, who doesn't understand the first thing about geo-politics, economics, business and constitutional rights. What he does know is manipulation, lying, cheating and how to do illegal things in plain sight. He needs to be careful as when the dildo of consequence arrives, it rarely arrives lubed.
  24. I know a couple of farmers who supported Brexit, and then have stopped farming due to not having the labour available post Brexit, including one that after Brexit decided to turn half his land into a fucking vineyard, using labour models from pre-2016. We told him not to, but to be honest he is a ruddy old racist and deserved what he got. You reap what you sow.
