They've spent 20m on Delap who is arguably worse than Moore or Hirst. 20m on Hutchinson who is a quick flair player who has no prem experience or proven ability at that level 15m on a Keeper who will be no different to Hladcky 15m on a potebtislly good centre back, no quibbles there. But still not great enough to get near Championship autos. Let's see how they address Morsy Lluongo etc who need completely revamping. If they get two 20m CMs in, then I'd be more confident in them. As it stands they'll be: New Gk Davis who cant defend Burgess Greaves Tuanzebe Morsy Luiongo Hutchinson Chaplin?? Burns?? Delap Doesn't really feel more than an upper Championship side 50m quid later, although I know hard work and organisation goes a long way.

Hutchinson hasn't cost them more than Sulemana? And 20m of their FFP budget on a flair player when they need a whole new defence and midfield seems silly when they have Burns in that position already

Albeit Ipswich desperately need a whole new midfield. Morsy and Lluongo are well into their thirties and Jack Taylor has mostly played in League 1. He also left Ipswich under a bit of a cloud IIRC

Not sure Ipswich will be able to splash 15m.... they're linked with 30m Hutchinson and although they have rich backers I don't imagine they can navigate FFP easily with their turnover and lack of player sale income

I'd not really heard of Ghoddos before but he has a fair bit of prem experience and played half of Brentfords games last year. Looks like can fill in a number of positions including full back too. Seems a decent acquisition, maybe not a regular starter but sensible enough.

Mara is going to offer us nothing this season. Loan him to a champ club and see if he develops. Perruad and Oriol are romanticised, we need to move forward. Same with Ings. I'd try and reintegrate ABK unless someone offers 20m. If we play 3 CBs he'd be handy. Like the sound of O Reilly from Celtic. Coventry have some decent players, anyone at Burnley worth a punt. Quite agree. Morsy in particular. But to be frank if they want to compete then the only players I'd retain are Hladcky, Burgess, Davis, at a push Burns. Hutchinson isn't their player and will cost upwards of £20m I'd imagine. Have to navigate financials carefully if likely to go back down again, and not lose the spirit and togetherness that has got them promoted this season. Tough old ask really.
