I'm led to believe that trying to keep a player could lead to him terminating the contract in-line with a contract clause and move on as an un-attached player. This is real hurt, over and above the punishment handed out.

Taylor, McCarthy, BBD and Armstrong are all a waste of time. No chance with the rubbish we've got. At the Wolves match their nos 3 & 7 looked like they were worth £50 - 60M (combined) easy.
