  1. Carlos Corberan: Southampton considering approach for West Brom head coach to replace Russell Martin https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/13275613/carlos-corberan-southampton-considering-approach-for-west-brom-head-coach-to-replace-russell-martin
  2. Ivan Juric being linked again in Italy. Would make sense, as I'm sure he was supposedly on our wish-list in the Ralph/Jones/Selles season I think talkSPORT initially said our shortlist was three managers, all foreign and two out of work In which case would make sense if it is: Rohl, Hjumland, Juric
  3. Yep, almost guaranteed it was negotiated at the start. Shows he has a decent agent, more than anything. 'The target is promotion and we'll give you a three-year contract' 'What's the reward?' 'We'll change your Championship salary to a PL salary and replace the elapsed year' - (and presumably he got a tidy bonus sum too) Doesn't really seem unreasonable. Always find it odd that people have much of an issue with him getting a one-year extension after promotion. Even though he got sacked, it's preferable to him being a success and us being sat here now with the manager only having one full season left on his contract (we've been burnt by that before)
  4. David Ornstein on the sacking of Russell Martin and what comes next
  5. Was thinking the same when I was scrolling through the betting odds

    Simon Rusk

But will the Rusk outweigh the reward?
  7. Listen up, they reckon next manager is likely to be a Foreign Coach, not a Fucking Cunt.
  8. Cool, but the manager of that team got sacked for being boring, which was repeatedly levelled at him by the fanbase…

  10. £31.50 is what I got back for my West Ham ticket on Boxing Day
  11. I think we tried again since Crocker left, but maybe my dates are off. Would assume Crocker wouldn’t have got the go-ahead to try if there wasn’t some appreciation for SC amongst the board members though
  12. said it on the RM rumour thread but will put here... Saints have tried to hire Steve Cooper twice before, so I do wonder if we might still have some interest to revisit there. Let's face it, his career is also at a point where if (when...) we go down, he wouldn't be in a position to bail out and leave us high and dry. He'd need to stay and bring us back up to get his stock rising again

  14. If anyone is the appropriate combination of local, crazy and at a loose end… Spare ticket today. Can meet at ground, no money wanted - friend in Wales can’t make it
  15. Hasn't been seen since the Leicester debacle when RM was showing his frustration about 'someone not doing their job' when we conceded from the corner at the death - so I assume that was CT he was on about.
  16. Why does the Saints manager need to be able to organise trains?
  17. Polish FA saying he’ll be out for a month or so, knee ligament issues
  18. Ramsdale has broken a finger (we don't know which one, nor how long it sidelines him for) and doesn't seem to have a track record of it from my basic knowledge, the other guy had broken a wrist twice, in two separate seasons. And has an injury record as long as a weekly shopping list. I'm not sure the risk is comparable
  19. Oh well, not going to make much difference really. Hope his op goes smoothly
  20. Got to sack Russell Martin. You cannot justify entering the third international break of the season with only four points out of a total of 33 available. Been so many collapses and games where we've not been in the fight. No shots on target today against the team in 20th place, with 1 win in 20 games and a toxic home atmosphere. They were there for the taking if we got our heads out of our arses and were able to find a way to penetrate in the final third rather than just shuffling the ball about No manager is keeping this group up IMO, I've been quite adamant about that ever since the window shut, but I'd like to think there's some who'd be less feeble than we are at present. This is shaping up to be a very meek and naive relegation as it stands. So often we're just not in games or just aimlessly drifting through them. 70% possession but no shots is not 'brave' either. RM has been very clear that he will not change himself, so it's on the board to make the change There's an international break coming now and then some games straight after with little to no expectation, so make the change and don't waste any more games on this nonsense. He's had Brentford, Bournemouth, Everton, Ipswich, Leicester, Wolves and come out of it with four points. That shouldn't be enough to keep anyone happy
