I've been thinking about it and think I'd summarise it as: Is he a decent signing for a Championship club that already has its first choice CMs nailed down? Yes Is he a plug and play replacement for what Shea Charles brings to the table? No Does he need to be? Not necessarily, it depends on how the manager intends on playing I would prefer a bit more athleticism, height and physicality in the midfield personally but I can see the logic in it, especially as JWP and Schlotterbeck would add some more leadership to the team

Tonda set up to try and start strong and take advantage in the first half. Nuno set up to be able to roll his big hitters on for the last 20-30 minutes. We messed up by only being one in front going into the second half really. Poor goalkeeping, poor defending and the momentum swung their way - as you'd expect when you look at who they were able to bring on. Clubs don't do continuous repeats of a popular away kit composition (ie. yellow and blue) every single year because the fans get fatigue and then stop buying them. 'Oh I've got tonnes of yellow and blue already / oh I've got last year's I'll just wear that' like people do with their home shirts, whereas alternating it so there's a new one every two years leads to more demand and helps it sell better in that year, ultimately. Gives clubs a chance to mix it up and throw in some wildcard away kits in the between years. Yellow and blue will be back next year

No, he certainly can't in a Saints shirt. But his previous Championship seasons he has turned in 4/5 goals in fairly average to decent WBA sides. However, Fellows can do one of the two things I mentioned well, which is more than can be said for Edozie, who is doing neither of the two well IMO Edozie is pushing 100 appearances and has a total of six goals (none of which are more recent than 2024) and five assists (with three in a season being his best, which was the 2023/24 season) Fellows has 26 assists at Championship level and 9 goals over the same period since 2023/24 but has made more appearances, approx 120. Eight assists and 0 goals in his first season at Saints where he wasted his first 3 months playing right back for Will Still because he was convinced Bree couldn't play there and farmed him off to Charlton I think Edozie needs to drop a level or go to Europe to find his feet a bit. Personally I see very little development from the Edozie who came on for a debut at Molineux in 2023 and the one that plays for us now in 2026 and him leaving the club this summer would be a big old shrug of the shoulders for me. He's not developed as the club would've hoped by this stage and might benefit from a fresh environment with more opportunities and weaker competition

I think people speak about Edozie like he's still a teenager or very early 20s. When in reality he is 24 this season and he still can't cross the ball or take a decent shot. That's a bit of a problem. Fellows is very predictable but he does go past people and his crossing quality is pretty good. A bit floaty sometimes and I'd like to see more pace on the ball but Larin will get on the end of a few this season

Personally wouldn't be bothered if he was. He'd only beat the full back and then not do anything with it afterwards

Hibs have a UEFA qualifier second leg on Thursday so I wonder if it's one of those where the club is prepared to let him go but wants to try and lock in the UEFA prize money first by qualifying for the group stage

WBA look interesting. Seems like they've made a conscious effort to have a much younger team after having one of the oldest sides in the division for a few years. Rookie manager as well but playing some nice stuff and getting into Burnley

Can see why he was keen to come here and play with the likes of Azaz. Can understand what he was saying in his interview about coming somewhere that creates a lot of chances for its strikers. He is always moving across the line, making those dangerous 'out and in' runs and Azaz will pick those out as they become more accustomed. I'm sure he'll also be caught offside quite a bit but that's always part of the game when you play the way Mubama does He's clearly a natural finisher and by all accounts is a confident lad, which always seems to be half the battle with strikers. Considering he's only a week in that's about as good a start as he could've hoped for. Loved seeing him give it back to the Stokies who booed him onto the pitch and were chanting about him always being offside

I wondered if that's why they were punting it back to the international break. It's the extra long one that goes on for three weeks so if they got a ruling out in the first few days then there'd still be two and a half weeks before a return to league action during which time the appeals process could presumably run from start to end?
