Still safely in possession of the keeper jersey in my worst ever Southampton XI for any division.

Probably about as effective in the air. Downs is a blend of Paul Moody and Jason Lee. Good work Johannes!
-
Mid-table? I’ll have some of what you’re drinking. Paul Trollope Championship relegation double more like.
-
So would 99.9% of the forum. Sod it, 100% actually. Damion Downs is a poundshop Paul Moody, Paul was hopeless at PL level but at least scored 20 a season for Oxford in League 1. Downs would struggle in the National League.

Swap Armstrong for Sesay and I’d agree. Need someone to carry the ball and break the opposition lines. Lack of movement and athleticism with and without the ball is a disgrace to the sport.

Not that slow if this 🤡 stays in charge. This is a relegation battle if he’s allowed to go on beyond the weekend. Does anyone believe SR has the bollocks to make a decision like Sheff Utd did though? Admit your mistake and put it right next 24 hours.
-
Need to do what Sheff Utd have done, not double down on a hideous error, and put it right tonight, get one of these two in place for early next week.
-
Can’t survive today’s debacle, will be doing a Luton 2024/25 if this 🤡 stays in charge. Today worse than anything Nathan Jones, Branfoot, Pellegrino or Martin served up.

Yep, he’s joined GM and Osvaldorama on ignore.

The Starmer Years - Can The New Broom Sweep Clean?

Reform’s polling has much to do with the fact that they spent several times what the other parties spent over the summer on Facebook advertising, all of it about immigration and ‘lawless UK’. A lot of it from funding sources even Portsmouth FC would’ve baulked at in the 00s (yes, Trousers, I know it’s a different club now 😉 They are finding local government rather harder than they thought and the post-austerity issues even more intractable. The hiss coming out of the tyres is coming. -

Reform not finding it any easier to cut locally and regionally in office and not lose core support https://www.politicshome.com/news/article/reform-doge-unit-struggles-with-local-pressures Welcome to mainstream politics in the 2020s. -
I know America doesn’t have leaders of the opposition in the same way most of the European Parliaments do but where are the Democrats? Unless something is happening to their individual state from Trump eg Californian wildfire arguments e.g. Gavin Newsom hits back nicely, they just aren’t coherent or cohesive against a really unpleasant and dangerous authoritarian government. Sanders is the most public and he’s now an independent.

Used BBC last night who are returning to Met Office - looked up Met Office instead as the beat source and looks similar Weds/Thursday as they don’t go further than 7 days and looks dry first two days at least https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/forecast/gcp185f25#?date=2025-09-25 Leeds similar for Yorks v Durham https://weather.metoffice.gov.uk/forecast/gcwfhf1w0#?date=2025-09-25

Forecast midweek onwards full sun so survival will have to be earned unless Durham implode at Headingley.

Not wrong in what he says about Saints when he joined and the shit recruitment sending the club downhill.

If anyone wants a listen. Just joined Basingstoke Town.

The Eritrean AS who was trying to retrospectively claim he was a victim of modern slavery, having passed through several countries he could have claimed refuge in, is on a flight first thing tomorrow morning now. 👋 -
Ticket releases for August and Portsmouth games?

And pay on the day. Just under 3 hours for me driving. -
Even given the difficulties faced by Hull, I’d still rip your arm off for that.

Dreadful from Sheldon. Bottled it. So obvious he had to go and he was being manipulated but couldn’t help himself. If he gets plenty of stick in public now then limited sympathy. Simple to do his job on this case and failed. Probably best that he steps down and lets another justice who can cope with lobbyist manipulation step up to the plate. -

It’s as subtle as a fart in Winchester Cathedral yet Clive Sheldon fell for it https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1dqe2443l1o UK’s finest legal mind my arse. The double glazing firms and charity chuggers need to get round to his house pronto so he can give his life savings away. -

It’s why the Home Office allowed a large cohort of Albanian women to stay in 2022 who were allegedly victims of trafficking - because they probably had no option. Whilst it’s not pleasant, the processes probably do need to be rolled up. -

I think they have to though. And then keep tweaking the law again and again to counter the activists tactics. Having a punch up with the courts might actually politically take some heat off as well. -

The courts are subverting democratically-elected governments and will carry on doing so, hence the answer is to play anti-Queensbury rules and hit the charities incomes by instant deportation the moment a rejection happens under the already proposed shortened appeals system. I don’t want us to follow America with politically-appointed judges, you end up with losing Roe Vs Wade and the Evangelicals spread their odious tentacles here.
