If we are, he will be long gone by that stage. Hull next week is must-win or the pressure will start to pile on. Over the next 3-4 games it has to be 8-10 points and a much clearer identity.
-
Agree very much, Downes carried the ball forward well once on 65 minutes to threaten their back line but it was the only time he did it.
-
That’s what Still has to achieve now. Hull away next Saturday is must-win, no excuses acceptable.
-
I love Milds as well. Such a connection to our industrial heritage and they can be all kinds of different strengths.

Had these at the Moreton Festival yesterday https://untappd.com/b/north-riding-brewery-bakewell-tart-stout/4328688 https://untappd.com/b/rooster-s-brewing-co-london-thunder/2961331 BTS was especially lovely. Excellent local stronger bitter https://untappd.com/b/cotswold-lion-brewery-top-tup/6094715

Looking at what’s coming up, Hull away is win comfortably and no excuses https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/teams/southampton/scores-fixtures/2025-09?filter=fixtures Fail to win that and the headlines start saying ‘Under pressure Will Still’. Six pointer. Boro home needs to be a win, Blades away post-Selles, a draw would be ok. 7 points minimum next three,

I did, but a few years back now. High on my list to return to on my next visit along with King Olaf’s which not been to yet and Beards & Boards. Will say hello.
-
Would be great to have a player with a bit more character and spark, because otherwise it’s a very boring squad to watch.
-
Agree on that and 7 to 8 points minimum or I think his situation becomes quite difficult.
-
Er, yeah, SR are a bit of a problem in that regard…. Anticipation today and great initial atmosphere….but was a very difficult game to get worked up about after about 20 minutes. Better second half but never really on the edge of my seat believing we would score. Drab and grey display from drab and grey Saints players to match the weather. The Butchers Hook is excellent though.
-
I’m amazed with such a poor match that anyone could get that worked up. Comes to something when even the derby game was boring and drab. Fans made a great atmosphere at the start but nothing to sustain it and their fans went quiet for large patches of the second half when we put them under some slight pressure. Very difficult to get any excitement going around SFC these days. #DrabFC

Hostages’ families finally seeing the penny drop - Netanyahu and the far right nationalists in his cabinet he is beholden to are their major remaining obstacle https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c1dqrg32zd9o Trump still blind on the issue though.

That’s where I am, but want to see more of a pattern of play emerging earlier on in matches. Bar Watford we have wasted the Championship first halves this season which limits the scope to put a winning run together.
-
I have some concerns. Nothing more than that yet either, and the new signings look a cut above the turds which floated in the PL toilet pan, Fernandes apart. But I’m just not seeing a pattern of play regardless of formation and Mousinho set up better today on 10% of the budget which our better quality cancelled out second half. Then the last 20 mins is the Alamo to retrieve the situation. And if we’re going direct, then we needed a far better target man than Damion Flippin Downes. The tactics do not work with Archer, who played well, and AA.
-
Scienza quite rightly competing with Manning to take the free kick into the box. Don’t mind Manning taking the direct ones at goal but his indirects and corners were woeful.
-
Azaz got into it 45-65 and looked lively, bit more pace than I thought he had. Agree on Downes, must have looked at Jander and thought his place is in jeopardy. At least looked like a footballer amongst the donkeys when we stopped smashing it over his head. Charles our best player. Murphy the best on the pitch. It’s ok bringing Stewart but he needs the crosses with whip and pace that Murphy provided at the other end. Bishop’s efforts on goal woeful but he did hold up pretty well.
-
Some boos at the end, Still is not under significant pressure quite yet but getting there unless the signings gel for him quickly. Needs to be a run on victories now and far more goal threat in open play. Skates had a strange mix of the best player we’ve faced - Murphy - and the worst forward quality. Bishop was dreadful I thought. Jander and Scienza promising, Fellows ditto. Downes very poor on the ball, Charles carried him, set pieces and crossing were horrible. Fraser good, Baz solid in the little he had to do. Archer decent but doing it all by himself. Someone should have burst a lung to get in the box and help him. First batch of subs good, second set too much too quickly and disrupted.
-
Poor effort THB, decent chance. If we’re not creating in open play, then set pieces need to be better used.
-
Jander winning his duels and bits of quality, watch out for your place Flynn..
-
Pity we’ve not tested him at all. Their full backs are poor as well.
-
It’s one aspect they’ve consistently done better on. Murphy has put in four peaches now and if they’d had Wrexham, Stoke or Watford’s quality in forward areas they’d have scored. Our crosses and set pieces have been dreadful. Floaty shit or hitting first man. Finally, half decent one from Robinson. Ref having a nightmare.
-
Astonishing error by Lino/Ref. Scienza on.
-
Lovely first touch but 2-3 better option after that.
-
Better second half but Murphy did him three times on the outside first half.
-
Downes for Jander, and Archer for AA. And oh Stewart for…Azaz.
